This is a must win situation for the Cornuskers as 4 losses would be difficult to come back from. See who we like in this intriguing matchup as our betting college football pick.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm. ET at Tom Osborne Field in Lincoln, Nebraska. You would expect this game to be tight and according to the College Football Odds the Badgers are a 2.5 point road favorite and the total for the game is listed at 49, This game can be seen on ABC Television.

Wisconsin Defense Is Key
The one thing that stands out in this game immediately is the defense of Wisconsin. In their last 4 games, the Badgers have allowed a total of 13 points and this wasn't against any pushovers as the Badgers lost to Iowa by 1 point. Can quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. be effective against a top defense such as this is a key question that will reflect in the outcome of this game?

Total Opposites
Nebraska lives off of their offense, gaining 474 yards per game and 280 through the air. Wisconsin is very sting against the pass, allowing a mere 183.6 yards per game. Tommy Armstrong Jr. isn't one of the most accurate passers in the Big Ten, but he can deliver the football on time and take matters into his own hands and run with it.

The two targets that you expect him to be looking for are Brandon Reilly (352 yards 1 TD) and Jordan Westerkamp (350 yards, 4 TD). Nebraska is a well balanced team and that's where running back, Terrell Newby comes into play. Newby (414 yards, 3 TD) and Armstrong Jr. are the main go to guys on the ground. This is an above average offense, but they're facing the best.

Underachievers
You would think that a team that averages almost 4 touchdowns per game and allows just 9.6 points per game would have a better record, but that's not the case as the Badgers are in a dogfight in the Big-Ten Conference with 2 losses on their resume in only 5 games. Even though they are the road team, their defense is so dominant, they should win this game handily.
Wisconsin has a double threat at the running back position with Taiwan Deal and Dare Ogunbowale. This duo has combined for 658 yards and 7 TD's on the ground.

Ogunbowale can also catch passes out of the backfield from quarterback Joel Stave. Stave is very efficient and look for him to be zeroing in on his favorite receiver, Alex Erickson (350 yards 1 TD).. The big question for Wisconsin is Erickson's status, but apparently, he made it through the concussion protocol and he should be ready to go. If he were not to play, it would be a big loss for the Badgers.

Outcome
Wisconsin is the favorite for a reason and that's because their defense is unstoppable. Take the Badgers and lay the points where your College Football Pick is concerned,
