The Cincinnati Bearcats (6-3, 4-1) have a major opportunity to make things interesting in the American Conference and position themselves for a good bowl game as they face a weak University of Connecticut (2-7, 1-4) football team thats playing out the string. When you lose to Army, you're a bad team and Uconn is coming off of a loss to the Black Knights. See who we like in this matchup.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 pm ET on Saturday at Rentschler Field in Storrs, Connecticut. This game can be seen on the CBS Sports Network

No Respect?
I would've expected Cincinnati to be more of a betting favorite, but they are on the road in what could be possibly frigid temperatures along Northeast territories in the United States. According to college football odds at 5Dimes sportsbook, the Bearcats are a 9.5 point betting favorite and the total for this game is listed at 55.5.

While the Huskies have managed just 17.3 points per game, the Cincinnati Bearcats have one of the best passing attacks in the country which leads to high scoring affairs. While the rock maybe a bit heavy due to low temperatures, don't expect for it to affect the Cincinnati offense from moving the football.

"Air Kiel"
That might be going a bit too far, but Bearcats sophomore quarterback, Gunner Kiel, is coming off of his 2nd 400 yard passing game of the season in a crazy 54-46 victory over East Carolina. Kiel did throw for 3 interceptions, but Cincinnati got off to such a big lead that the Pirates couldn't complete the comeback and the "W" is all that matters.

Now, Cincinnati can relax a bit as they face a Connecticut squad that lost to Army in their last game, 35.21. Any team that loses to Army is a bad team. The Black Knights feature the option with no passing game to speak of and these are players that are at West Point to learn to serve their country and football takes a back seat.

Expect Kiel to be featuring his favorite target, senior wide receiver Justin Hardy. Hardy is coming off of a huge effort against East Carolina. Not only did Hardy eclipse the 1000 yard receiving mark, but he managed to grab 15 receptions for 188 yards. Hardy has caught for over 100 yards in 4 out of his last 5 games and expect a huge game out of Justin Hardy against a weak Huskies defense.

Super Freshman
Although he's only managed 402 yard and 4 touchdown on the ground, we have to remember that freshman running back Mike Boone has been very efficient for the Bearcats. Boone has only played in 6 games and has scored a touchdown in each of his last 4 games and is averaging an an imposing 7.9 yards per carry. Cincinnati's has a well balanced, overwhelming offense and this should be an uphill climb for the Connecticut Huskies at home.

Inadequate Offense
I must admit that I'm fixated on that loss to Army, but why should I be surprised? Connecticut has an offense that averages less than 200 yards passing per game and less than 100 yards rushing. Ron Johnson leads the Huskies with a mere 228 yards rushing (3.8 yards per carry) and quarterback Chandler Whitmer can do the job, but doesn't have a ton of talent at the receiver position.

On the bright side, Huskies leading receiver, Geremy Davis, appears to be ready to play after a 2 week absence due to an ankle injury. The Huskies can use any assistance that they can get as they face a high scoring team.

Outcome
Cincinnati giving 9.5 points is a gift as the the Huskies offense can't compete with the Bearcats aerial attack. Make the Bearcats part of your college football picks as they will win by double figures and in a relatively easy manner.
