When 2 SEC powerhouses do battle for a chance to remain undefeated, we need to do our due diligence before making a final pick. The Auburn Tigers are small road favorites vs. the Mississippi Bulldogs.

Odds Overview
Two of the best teams in the nation collide this weekend, and it may be surprising to some to see how the College Football odds are shaping up.

At time of writing, the visiting Tigers were favored by either 2.5 or 3 points depending on the sportsbook. A total had yet to have been released, so keep checking back with Sportsbook Review to see how the lines open up and then shift throughout the week. There's no better live line tool out there!

Mississippi State Bulldogs
A blistering start indeed it's been for the Bulldogs, who have still yet to lose a game this season.

Ranked #3 in the AP, Mississippi State has passed every test thus far, and it's not like it's been a cupcake schedule. The Bulldogs have already beaten LSU and Texas A&M, scoring an amazing 82 points in the process. The win over the Tigers (34-29) came on the road to make the start that much more impressive.

This past weekend, the Bulldogs held off the Aggies to win 48-31 at home. As expected, it was a wild shootout, but in the end Mississippi State proved to be too much to handle for A&M.

QB Dak Prescott continued his stellar play, accounting for five touchdowns in the victory. He threw for 268 yards and two TDs and ran for 77 yards and an additional three scores, in what was another fantastic performance from the quarterback. RB Josh Robinson found success too, runnning for 107 yards and two TDs, with wideouts De'Runnya Wilson and Fred Brown each catching a touchdown pass.

Still unbeaten, there's nothing State isn't doing well. They've scored at least 34 points in all five of their wins so far, and they're also ranked in the top 22 in stopping both the run and the pass. You can't ask for much more than that.

Auburn Tigers
As good as the Bulldogs have been, we can't forget about the Tigers either. They've also enjoyed a wonderful start to their 2014 season.

Similar to Mississippi State, Auburn has overcome some tough early obstacles, beating the likes of Arkansas, Kansas State and most impressively LSU last weekend. In one of the more dominant showings you'll see this season, the Tigers crushed LSU 41-7 at home, easily covering the College Football lines in the process.

Jordan-Hare Stadium was as lively as ever, as Auburn dominated Les Miles' team from start to finish. The Tigers had 566 yards of total offense, while holding LSU to just 280 total yards in the blowout win.

QB Nick Marshall was excellent once more, throwing for 207 yards and two TDs while running for 119 yards and two scores as well. Cameron Artis-Payne was a workhorse out of the backfield, piling up 24 carries for 126 yards, while Sammie Coates had four receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown. Everyone got in on the action.

As you can see, confidence has to be at an all-time high for the Tigers right now, so a trip to Auburn isn't going to faze Marshall and company.

College Football Pick
It's #2 versus #3. Who wins out?

Tough call, but we like the home cooking that comes with backing the Bulldogs in this situation.

Both offenses have been out of this world, but we've been most impressed by Prescott, who's already logged 19 total touchdowns in five games. He's on a roll, and will be feeling good about his chances of keeping it going against Auburn, who are sure to present a bigger challenge defensively.

We're expecting a mighty close game, but in the end we can't pass up a chance to side with the Bulldogs as home dogs. Take Mississippi State to cover as one of your College Football picks.
