Bowling Green has enjoyed a solid ATS run against Akron in recent years, which makes it a dangerous road underdog when looking over the NCAA football odds Tuesday.

Quite a Break
Bowling Green’s 16-day break in between games is the longest regular season break in school history, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 11 College Football picks, especially since they played eight games during the first eight weeks of the 2014 campaign.

Falcons first-year head coach Dino Babers has been focusing on fundamentals in practice over the last couple weeks, as he’s capable of getting this squad prepared—winning a conference title in his first two years as head coach at Eastern Illinois before this stop.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 6-1 SUATS in November, with the UNDER going 4-2-1 in that situation.

Coming Home
Akron returns home after dropping back-to-back road games against Ohio and Ball State, which is important to consider when looking over the College Football odds, as it has lost the statistical battle in three consecutive affairs.

The Zips have impressed in numerous categories under third-year head coach Terry Bowden, as they rank 20th in scoring defense and behind just 29 teams in defending the red zone.

Since the start of the 2012 campaign, the squad is 7-13 SUATS versus Mid-American Conference foes, with the UNDER cashing in 14 of those 20 opportunities.

Spread the Ball Around
The Falcons are one of four teams in the country to have five wide receivers with at least 20 receptions this year, with Roger Lewis being the main target with 53 grabs for 706 yards and three touchdowns.

He’s trying to become the first freshmen in school history to surpass 1,000 yards receiving in a season, while he’d become just the seventh overall to hit that mark within the program.

Pohl’s Return?
The Zips have been without the services of No. 1 signal-caller Kyle Pohl the last two games, as he’s been suffering from concussion symptoms, but he’s listed as probable for this important midweek matchup at InfoCision Stadium.

Redshirt freshmen Thomas Woodson has played a part in eight games this year under center—completing 72-of-137 passes for 773 yards and five touchdowns.

Prediction
I’m going to recommend that readers back the Falcons as one of their top football picks, as the Zips are 4-7 ATS as favorites the last two-plus seasons.
