Chris Peterson Returns to Albertson’s Stadium
Boise State 42 Washington 14
Typically a homecoming is supposed to be a celebration, this does not look to be the case as the Washington Huskies travel north to play the Broncos of Boise State. The blue smurf turf may turn to red after this BLOOD BATH.

This is truly shaping up to be along season for the Washington Huskies. They lost as much talent as anyone in the country, including three defensive starters to the draft. They are working out several different options at Quarterback, none in which have started multiple games at the collegiate level. Jeff Lindquist is very experienced behind center. The only advatage for the Huskies is there returning running backs, Dwayne Washington and Dante Pettis. They are however up for a tall task against the Boise State front 7. Piecing together a young inexperienced offensive line is going to be one of the many issues the Huskies face this season. There defense appears to be a huge liabilty this year as they only return 4 starters. Look for Boise to exploit this big mis match early and often and remain on the Husky side of the ball most of the game. There is bad, there is ugly, and then there is Washington.

Boise State coming off yet another fantastic season including a 38-30 bowl win against a legitimate PAC 12 opponent in Arizona. Having to replace Quarterback Grant Hedrick is not an easy task, but Boise has options. The current best option for Boise State will be Ryan Finley. He is limited in experience, however he has the 6 foot 4 frame that coaches crave for the QB position. Boise is very forunate to welcome in Kelsey Young a transfer from Stanford at running back. This guy should pay divdends immediately. Coach Bryan Harsin has had some outstanding recruiting classes. You would think based off history that the Huskies would have the coaching advantage, unforunately so far at UW Peterson has not been able to recruit or get the freedom he deservess to make decisions on either side of the ball. This sets up Boise to be poised to run away with not only the this first non-conference tilt, but also Mountain West conference, they have a great shot at making some noise in the BCS conversation. Look for Boise to push the Washington Huskies all over the field in this opening night massacre. The homefield advantage for Boise State has always been the hardest plae to play in the entire nation. This is one of the more well rounded teams in all of College Football. Couple that fact that Chris Peterson career record was 100-18 overall most wins were with Boise State, and now he is only 8-6 overall with a down trodden UW squad. We can also add the motivation factor to wax your old coach. A route is in the making. Boise state will have no problems moving the ball at will against UW and will play enough defense to keep the Huskies under 20 points.
