Early Sunday Money Movement

The early money on the NCAAF Week 8 betting board saw a 2-point move in the Louisiana Tech-UTEP game, with the host Bulldogs going from opening 26- down to 24-point chalks at BetOnline for their Saturday game at Joe Aillet Stadium (FieldTurf) in Ruston, LA (LT 1-3 ATS L4 at home).

Other opening point spreads that moved 2 points or more in the first two hours of trading also included unbeaten and now No. 9-ranked UCF at East Carolina, with the wiseguys grabbing the opening 25 and betting it down to 23; and Iowa, which went from opening 10- to 12½-point favorites for their Big Ten encounter with Maryland in Iowa City.

Some other sides the sharps and professional bettors backed: New Mexico, which went from 18-point underdogs down 2½ points to 15½ for its MWC game ve Fresno State in Albuquerque on Saturday; Bowling Green, bet up 2 points from 16½ to 18½ at Ohio in MACtion; Minnesota, also moving 2 points, from 6- to 4-point underdogs for its Saturday Big Ten date at Nebraska; No. 16 N.C. State, moving 3 from +20 to +17 for their huge ACC showdown vs. No. 3 Clemson at Death Valley on Saturday (CLEM 2-6 ATS L8); and No. 22 Mississippi State, down from 9-point underdogs to just 6½ for its SEC game at No. 5 LSU and another Death Valley (LSU 0-4 ATS L4).
