Oklahoma deserves to be a popular College Football pick in Week 11, as it has never lost to Baylor when facing off in Norman.
Baylor leads the country in averaging 590.3 yards per game, which is important to consider when looking over the College Football odds, as it bounced back from its first loss of the season to register a 60-14 victory over Kansas as 34.5-point home favorites last Saturday.
The Bears have compiled an 8-6 SU record against ranked opponents since 2011—a far better mark than dropping their first 13 contests in that situation to open up the Art Briles era.
Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 3-4 SU and 6-1 ATS as underdogs, with the OVER going 4-3 in those seven opportunities.
Oklahoma has won 11 straight rematch games against squads that handed it a loss the prior season, as it looks for payback after suffering a 41-12 defeat to Baylor as 17-point road underdogs last year.
The Sooners will remain favorites in betting odds at home throughout the week, as they’ve won all 11 meetings in this series when playing in Norman, including a perfect 7-0 mark under longtime head coach Bob Stoops.
Since the start of the 2012 campaign, the team is 12-3 SU and 7-8 ATS at home, with the OVER going 8-6-1 in that situation.
Controlling the Line of Scrimmage
The Bears certainly put up a lot of gaudy numbers on the scoreboard, which can’t be ignored when making your College Football picks, but they also lead the Big 12 Conference in rushing offense and defense.
Baylor will need to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, especially on the defensive end, as it ranks fifth nationally in averaging 8.0 tackles for loss per game and 12th in sacks.
Hosting the Best
The Sooners have won all four home games under Stoops when welcoming in a Big 12 opponent ranked in the top 10 nationally, while the Bears are a forgettable 0-11 SU on the road when facing ranked foes under Briles.
Oklahoma has also compiled a remarkable 27-1 SU record at home in the month of November under its sideline general, including 22 straight wins in that role.
I’m going to recommend that readers back the Sooners as one of their top College Football picks of the weekend, as they’ve gone 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as home favorites of 10 or fewer points.
