All the college football moves of the past 24 hours. A couple games being played tonight. The bigger game has almost no movement while the other has seen the line on the favorite plunge.
305 Western Michigan/306 Northern Illinois- Good two-way action from the sharp bettors is keeping this right at NIU-3, though the public is on NIU with their college football picks. This shapes up to a terrific game between two very good MAC teams that are playing their best football of the season. But so far, vey little movement in the number.
307 Central Michigan/308 Kent State- Sharp money came in on Kent today. There will be high winds at game time, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour. Central Michigan will get hurt much more badly by this than will Kent State. The Chippewas offensive attack is based on QB Cooper Rush and the passing game. Their running game is very pedestrian, averaging 91.7 yards per game. If Rush is compromised, and it looks like he will be, it will be tough to surpass the line that climbed as high as Central Mich -11 yesterday. With today’s move, it is done to Central Mich -7.5 or -8 on the college football odds board.
323 Georgia Southern/324 Georgia- Sharp money came in on Georgia Southern +14. Georgia down to -13.5, so not a huge move. The game is obviously a big one for Georgia Southern. All is not completely well with the Georgia program. It would be easy to say Mark Richt was coaching for his job, but he might not even want it at this point. There will be quite a few juicy openings this off-season and Richt figures to be a hot commodity.
335 South Alabama/336 Georgia State- Money showed today on Ga State -1 and -1.5. Georgia State now up to -3.
365 Georgia Tech/366 Miami, Fla- Money showed on Ga Tech pick em this morning. The public was already on that side. Ga Tech now up to -2.
413 Purdue/414 Iowa- More public money has come in on Iowa. They go past -21 to -21.5 or -22, with no resistance from any real wiseguy money. Perhaps they are sensing the opportunity Iowa has to crack into the college football playoffs this season. They will have to finish undefeated, including topping whoever wins the B1G East, either Ohio State, Michigan State or Michigan.
