Our expert handicapper sees plenty of totals value in NCAAF odds to be had this Saturday. Read on as he highlights 4 plays you should be tailing this week!

2016 College Football Record: 20-24-2, -6.50 UnitsBaylor Bears vs Texas Longhorns

With perfect weather in the low 80’s at kickoff and two high-powered offenses, this game looks ripe to be a shootout. With the Texas Longhorns three wins against teams with a combined 5-16 record, it also appears to be a lopsided affair. The risk here is that the Texas offense doesn’t show up against the Baylor defense, which is the stoutest in the Big 12 when it comes to yards per game at 320.3.

What gives me confidence in the Texas ability to score is the competition that Baylor has racked up those defensive statistics against. In yards per game, Baylor has faced the 31st, 65th, 91st, 94th, and 104th ranked offenses in the country. Texas ranks 34th at 478 yards per game and should be able to move the ball a bit at home versus Baylor. And with Baylor sure to score in the mid-30’s or above - they have not failed to do so this season – the Longhorns will have plenty of chances to drive the ball. Take the Over here of 72 at Bovada, now offering 100% cash bonus, and look for a game where one team reaches the upper-40’s.

 Washington Huskies vs Utah Utes

The Utah Utes disappointed me on the road last week as they inexplicably got into a shootout with the UCLA Bruins, busting some trends in the process and losing my Under wager. In this game, it is Utah’s QB and Washington transfer, Troy Williams, who will try to keep it going and exact a little revenge on his old team.

What Washington has to do to win this game is protect the football, and with so much at stake for the Huskies in their FBS playoff aspirations, I think that is exactly what they will do. For this to happen, though, I do see a subdued offensive game plan from Chris Peterson, at least at the beginning of the game. The Utes are susceptible to explosive plays, but it will be after the Huskies have felt them out a little. Jake Browning takes advantage of this in the 2nd half, making the Under of 27 for the 1st half the Saturday College Football week 9 Pick.

Boise State Broncos vs Wyoming Cowboys

This pick is simply based on the weather. A 20-25 mph crosswind with gusts up to 35 mph at game time in Laramie? Yikes. Doesn’t sound good for the passing games of either team. Wyoming actually runs the ball better than Boise State too, so look for them to try to establish this early and play keep-away from the Broncos. The clock will run, keeping this game well under the 64.5 points currently listed at BetDSI.

Washington State Cougars vs Oregon State Beavers

The Washington State Cougars offense is on a roll right now, averaging 40.4 points per game behind the 72.5% completion percentage of quarterback, Luke Falk. Falk comes into this game a little dinged up, but was still able to put up 398 yards last week on 42-53 passing with three touchdowns. So why is this total under 60 exactly?

The answer to that would be the Oregon State Beavers quarterback situation, which is pretty dire at the moment. Sophomore, Marcus McMaryion, will be making his second start of his career, which likely will have the Beavers looking to establish the running game. It’s not going to work, and eventually they will have to try to pass or they are going to get run out of their own stadium by the Cougars. Oregon State was able to put up 17 points on the road at Washington last week in McMaryion’s first start, and that many points here should put this over the listed total. Take Over 57 points as another Saturday College Football Pick. Take the Cougars -13 as well.
