Odds makers have come out making Alabama a solid road favorite in this spot which makes a bit of sense, but have they made them too big of a favorite? Join expert capper as he brings you a betting preview concluding with a winning NCAAF week 6 pick.

 Alabama Crimson Tide

In their one true road test this season Alabama gave up 522 yards to Mississippi but pulled out a 48-43 victory. What really stands out to me with the yards gained by the Rebels at home, and I've a hard time believing Alabama has improved that much in just a couple of weeks to come in and shut down an Arkansas team that can move the ball through the air. Last year Alabama did an excellent job allowing just 220 yards total offense at home versus the Razorbacks but it took 17 fourth-quarter points for Alabama to pull off the victory. This is a tough Alabama team to gauge but I think odds makers have stretched this line just a little bit too much in regards to the fact that they are... Alabama.  It is going to be interesting to see how they react these next two weeks with two straight road games against two tough opponents and I won't be surprised if they get upset either this week or next.

Arkansas Razorbacks

In their one loss this season Arkansas gave up 591 yards and a 45-24 loss to Texas A&M. However, that game was on the road and I believe that Aggies are a lot better than a lot of people anticipated this season. Despite giving up that many yards Arkansas did gain 491 of their own and had more first downs than Texas A&M 27 to 22 in that contest. What hurt Arkansas was a poor rushing defense compounded with losing three fumbles, but what they did really well was put the ball in the air for 371 yards. It looks to me if they can attack Alabama through the air much like Mississippi did they should be able to have some success despite that head coach Bret Bielema has always been a proponent of pounding the ball on the ground. Quarterback Austin Allen though has Arkansas looking sharp through the air completing 67% of his passes along with a 12-2 touchdowns interception ratio. If they can step things up defensively a bit they should be able to stay within the number and have an outside shot at the upset.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs Arkansas Razorbacks

Odds makers have made Arkansas a +13 or better underdog at home versus Alabama across the board. Check SBR for the best value but one place where I will make my NCAA football pick is taking the Razorbacks at +14 -110 at Bookmaker, now offering 50% free play bonus. This is just too many points in my opinion to give a feisty well coached team that will come in thinking they can win this game.
