Friday features just 3 games in College Football, but there's some clear, decisive edges in which the bettor can profit from. Let's take a more in depth look at these matchups with our NCAA Football Picks.

San Diego State Aztecs (6-1, 3-0) vs Utah State Aggies (3-4, 1-3)A Gift In the Aztecs

While it's true that Utah State has kept every game close this season, not losing a game by more than 11 points with the exception of the USC Trojans, they're running into a very underrated team in the San Diego Aztecs that features one of the best RB in the nation in Donnel Pumphrey. In my opinion, the Aztecs, a team that I picked and won with last week, should be more of a betting favorite as they have a well-balanced offensive and defensive attack.

On 4 separate occasions, the Aztecs have held their opponents to single digit points and in their last 3 games, they've outscored their opponents 85-13. Utah State will be hard pressed in being effective against a defense that's on a roll such as the Aztecs' defense.

 Donnel Pumphrey

I mentioned that San Diego State would feed the football to Pumphrey in their encounter with San Jose State last week and indeed they did as Pumphrey had his 6th consecutive game of 135 yards rushing or more. He scored another 2 touchdowns last week and has reached the endzone in every game this season.

For the season, the senior running back has 1246 yards and 13 TD's to his credit. Before this season, Pumphrey had amassed over 3500 yards rushing to go along with 37 rushing TD's in 2 seasons alone. This is a player that can't be stopped. He's not facing a team the caliber of Alabama. In fact, he's facing a sub .500 team in the Aggies and should have a field day as well as the bettors as this is a complete mismatch.

Where Utah State is concerned, quarterback Kent Myers is coming off of a 3 touchdown performance and this is a team with a great deal of depth. The Aggies possess 7 different runners that have scored a touchdown and 4 different receivers with 200 yards or more, but this is a team with no legitimate go to guy and a suspect offensive line. The Aztecs will wear the Aggies down with the running of Pumphrey. Make San Diego State your college football pick.

Air Force Falcons (4-3, 1-3) vs Fresno State Bulldogs (1-7, 0-4)Picking On the Weak

Picking on the weak is a fun and profitable thing to do for the bettor and make no mistake about it, the Fresno State Bulldogs are weak. The Bulldogs have lost 6 consecutive games and are looking for the bleeding to stop, but it might not stop here as they're a 2 touchdown underdog to the Falcons. That said, the Air Force Falcons have lost 3 consecutive games themselves as their defense has allowed 34 points or more in each of these games with the total points for each game reaching the 61 point mark or higher. Can the Bulldogs catch a break or is this a great spot for the Falcons in which every game has bowl game implications?

Hit Or Miss

The Falcons feature a steady running game with 5 different players with 250 yards or more and that includes their quarterback, Nate Romine. Romine possesses the ability to make the big pass and can also take the football and run it himself.

While Romine has over 1000 yards of passing and 9 TD's and 4 INT's to his credit, he's throwing at completion percentage of just 40.4%. That's as low as it get's at the collegiate level, but when Romine does connect, it's usually for a bomb as his leading receiver, Jalen Robinette (568 yards, 4 TD's), averages 27 yards per catch. In fact, his top 5 receivers all average 22 yards per catch or more, as Robinette is the main source of offense where the passing game is concerned.

Look for the Air Force offense to attempt to grind it out and look for the big occasional pass in an attempt to bust this game wide open.

This is a poor matchup (as are most) for the Fresno State Bulldogs as this is a team that allows 34.1 points per game and 264.8 yards rushing per game. The Air Force rushing game should have no problem here. Along with Dontel James (582 yards, 4 TD's) at running back, the one thing that Fresno State does possess is a trio of receivers that can be effective at times. Jamire Jordan, KeeSean Johnson, and Aaron Peck, should all be threats in this game as each player has caught for 500 or more yards this season and is a key figure in this offense.

Air Force should win this game and even though the Bulldogs have managed to win just 1 game this season, I expect them to keep this game close as the Falcons have been playing poorly, themselves.
