We’re looking to parlay a few teams in college football with the intention of cashing big. While parlays are risky, they do have the ability to help you find value in spots where you might otherwise not see any and can help cash more tickets.
Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Georgia State
Saturday, September 19, 2020 – 12:00 PM EDT at Center Parc Stadium
Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Georgia State Analysis
This line opened up at -17 for Louisiana and in my opinion, this line seems too low. After watching what Louisiana did to Iowa St, I think this spread should be at least three touchdowns. This will be Georgia State's first game of the season which is one reason I'm laying the points with Louisiana here. The other thing is, without having seen Georgia State play, we know that they are not on the same level as Iowa St who competes in the Big 12.
If you're wondering how we know that, Georgia St is returning most of their team from last year minus, starting QB Dan Ellington. Last year after Ellington injured his ACL, the team went 1-4 to end the season. When Ellington was healthy, the team was 6-2 which is how they made it to a bowl game last year despite their weak finish. Ellington is gone and his replacement Cornelius Brown doesn't exactly inspire the most confidence. Last year Brown saw no action as a redshirt freshman and when we last saw him in the year before, he was anything but impressive.
I think it's a lot to ask this Georgia State team with a new quarterback playing in his first real game as a starter to keep up with this Louisiana team. Remember against Iowa St, they were down 14-0 before reeling off 21 unanswered points against better competition than Georgia St. Maybe if Georgia St had already played a game I would take the points with them because this could be a letdown spot for Louisiana after a big win but it's not enough points. I think Louisiana covers the -17 (-105) which I'm taking with my college football picks at BetOnline.
UCF vs. Georgia Tech
Saturday, September 19, 2020 - 03:30 PM EDT at Bobby Dodd Stadium
UCF vs. Georgia Tech Analysis
The UCF Knights bring their high scoring offense to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech. Since 2017, the Knights have scored 30 points or more in every game except one. That's a very impressive run but they've never beaten Georgia Tech in three previous meetings. In order to change that, they will need Dillon Gabriel to pick up where he left off in his freshman season where he threw for 3,653 yards.
As for Georgia Tech, they have a freshman QB of their own this season and he looks like quite the talent for the Yellow Jackets. Sims is the first freshman to start for Georgia Tech at quarterback since 2003. The Yellow Jackets haven't had a quarterback this young look this good in a very long time and it is definitely a reason for their fans to be excited.
If Sims can continue his solid play, that raises the bar on the expectations for the Yellow Jackets. The line for this game opened at was somewhere between -7.5 and 8 for Georgia Tech. On the college football odds page at SBR, the line seems to have settled at -7.5 across the board. I'm laying the points with Georgia Tech at -7.5 (-110) at BetOnline.
