Something has to give in a matchup between two powerhouses in the Pac-12 Division as the 4th ranked Huskies take their act on the road to face Utah. See who we like in this matchup as our betting pick.

Washington has earned the right to be the betting favorite and according to 5Dimes Sportsbook, the Huskies are a sizeable 10 point favorite and the total for the game is listed at 52.

 A Win is a Win?

While this is true, I had mentioned that the Utes defense must play better in this game than they did in their 52-45 victory over a sub .500 UCLA Bruins team. While Utah had amassed over 500 yards, so did the Bruins and the Utes defense allowed 3 touchdowns in the 1st quarter alone. Turnovers were the deciding factor in this game and I expect the Utah defense to play better as they may have let their guard down last week.

This is a Utah defense which is relatively effective. Aside from the UCLA game, they haven't allowed more than 28 points in any game and have also allowed less than 20 points in 4 out of their 8 games this season.

 Game Of His Life

The Utes will rely heavily on running back Joe Williams as Williams is coming off of a monster performance against UCLA. Against the Bruins, he rushed for massive 332 yards and 4 TD's. In his last 2 games, Williams has managed 511 yards and 5 TD's Williams has attained in 2 games what it has taken most running backs to reach in 8 games. While I don't expect another 300 yard effort from Williams, expect him to play a major role in this game from a Utah standpoint offensively.

The Utes will also be counting on the combination of Troy Williams to Tim Patrick. While Williams hasn't been the most efficient quarterback in the Pac-12, he's managed to have a chemistry with Tim Patrick, who has 5 of Utah's 7 passing touchdowns to go along with 429 yards receiving. Can Washington keep the Utah running game and can the Utes stop the overpowering offense of Washington will be the two keys to this game?

The Best In the West?

Let's remember that the Washington Huskies are a team that lit up Oregon for 70 points and also destroyed Stanford, 44-6. They'll definitely be coming into this game with a ton of confidence and for good reason.

Nearly Perfect

Washington quarterback Jake Browning is putting up Tom Brady-like numbers as his quarterback rating is an eye-popping 199.6! Thus far this season, Browning has 1709 yards passing with an amazing 26 TD's and just 2 INT's. He's only thrown for less than 3 touchdowns in 1 game this season and had a 6 TD output against Oregon 2 weeks ago. Look for another outstanding performance from Browning against a tough team in the Utes.

Myles Gaskin

Browning has two key receivers in John Ross and Dante Pettis to target as this combo has produced a combined 17 receiving touchdowns this season. Washington possesses a well-balanced offense with Myles Gaskin at the running position to go along with this powerful passing game.

In his freshman season, Gaskin rushed for over 1300 yards and 14 TD's and this season, Gaskin has 727 yards and 6 TD's rushing. He's rushed for 3 consecutive 100-yard games in his last 3 games and Washington couldn't come into this game with any more momentum.

While 10 points appear to seem like a lot on the road, this Washington offense is overpowering. For my College Football pick, look for the undefeated Huskies to take control of this game as they look to impress the pollsters.
