Two of the country’s top offenses collide Saturday afternoon when UCF’s air show is a touchdown favorite on the NCAA football odds against Navy’s relentless ground attack.

NCAAF Season Record: 20-24-1 (-4.45)

Will the American Athletic Conference standings begin to clear up this weekend or will the waters become even murkier? Chances are better for the latter with four of the top five teams in the two divisions going head-to-head, including an East-West collision in Annapolis between the Navy Midshipmen and No. 20 Central Florida Knights.

The inaugural gridiron matchup between the two programs boots at 3:30 PM (ET), a full house at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on hand and CBS Sports Network televising the affair. The line has been bouncing around at Bookmaker since the Knights were first sent out -6½, that number ballooning to -8 before dropping back down. Scoreboard bettors are looking at 66 for the total with signs it could increase.

Sophomore QB Has Knights Tops In Country With 50+ Points A Game

Sitting alongside South Florida as the two remaining unbeaten teams in the conference, UCF is also a perfect 5-0 against the NCAA football odds following last week’s easy 63-21 decision vs. East Carolina. Favored by five touchdowns against the Pirates, the Knights rolled up 600+ yards of total offense as McKenzie Milton went over 300 yards passing for a second consecutive game.

That’s really nothing new for McKenzie and the nation’s top-scoring offense. Averaging more than 50 points per game, Milton is averaging almost 200 yards per game through the air and the sophomore out of Hawaii has 15 touchdown passes in five games against just two interceptions.

Abey Leads Ground Attack For Midshipmen

Navy holds a slim half-game lead in the AAC West Division over Memphis and Houston, who play Thursday night, leaving the Midshipmen in need of a win to stay ahead of that victor. Last week’s 30-27 setback at Memphis cost Navy its unbeaten record and Top 25 ranking, five turnovers pretty much doing Ken Niumatalolo’s troops in.

The Midshipmen also boast a strong offensive unit, though it’s a one-dimensional outfit intent on running the ball down the opposition’s throat. ZachAbey and Co. are doing just that with nearly 400 yards per game on the ground, the junior QB already over the 1,000-yard mark with 12 of his totes crossing the goal line. They’ll be tested this week against a Central Florida defense that is 19th in the country allowing a little more than 110 rushing yards a game.

It should be a great day for football with the Annapolis forecast calling for plenty of sunshine and temps in the low 70s at kickoff. I’m taking the points for my free college football pick.

Free NCAAF Pick: Navy +7.5

Best Line Offered: Heritage

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3188154, "sportsbooksIds":[169,93,1275,238,19], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]
