Can the Boise State Broncos recover as they have a cupcake staring them in the face as they're massive 35 point betting favorites? Read our article and get our free college football pick.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, October 24th at 10:15 p.m. EST at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. According to 5Dimes, the Boise State Broncos are a 35 point betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 56.5 points on the college football odds. This game is a question of not who will win, but how much will Boise State blow out this bottomfeeder by?

Of course, a good defense usually leads to wins and Boise State's case, their defense has helped them as they allow just 17.7 points per game and also allow under 300 yards per game.

What Happened?
Entering their last game, Boise State had outscored their previous 4 opponents by a total of 203-14 and then got doubled up Utah State, allowing 52 points. Utah State got out to an amazing 45-10 lead at halftime. Boise State had committed 4 fumbles in the first half alone and Boise quarterback, Brett Rypien, threw 3 interceptions despite throwing for nearly 300 yards.

In this game, Boise State basically handed the game to a fairly good Utah State team on a silver platter as they couldn't keep a grip on the football and Utah State capitalized every time.

If the Broncos continue to commit too many turnovers in their game this week, this might make the game closer and Wyoming could cover the spread, but I don't think that the Cowboys have enough talent to deal with Boise State.

Brett Rypien to Thomas Sperbeck
Expect to see a lot of this combination in Saturday's game as they've done tons of damage to opponents thus far this season. Rypien has thrown for 1356 yards with 7 TD and 4 INT and more than half of those yards have went to Sperbeck.as Sperbeck has caught for 682 yards and 5 TD's.

Games like last week are going to happen, maybe not to that degree, but Rypien is a freshman and he's going to make freshman-like mistakes against good teams. I don't see Boise State having a repeat performance against the Cowboys.

McNichols Upgraded To Probable
Jeremy McNichols missed Boise State's last game and it was it a huge blow as he's the leading ground-gainer for this team. For the season, McNichols has rushed for 527 yards and 12 TD's. If he's not able to play, Kelsey Young will be the main man behind Rypien. Last week, Young had 20 carries for 60 yards and 2 TD. I don't see an urgency here unless Boise State is struggling and that's not likely to happen. Committing so many turnovers as they did against Utah State is a fluke.

Brian Hill
You can only hope to contain him as this Cowboy can't be stopped. Running back, Brian Hill, has rushed for nearly 1000 yards for Wyoming and we're only 6 games into the season. He's rushed for over 200 yards in a game twice this season and in his last 3 games, this workhorse has rushed for 524 yards.

The only problem that Hill has had is getting into the endzone as he has just 3 TD's for the season. Nonetheless, he will make the tough Boise State defense work. Wyoming is coming off of their only victory while Boise State had a rough week. 35 points may be too many for the rookie Rypien and the Broncos to cover. Ride with Wyoming as your college football pick.
