His winning selections came on Virginia Tech/Pittsburgh under the total, West Virginia +8.0 who was an outright winner over previously unbeaten Baylor, and “Ole Miss” who crushed Tennessee. Ross has now gone an outstanding 23-6 ATS (79.3%) in college football this season, and all those selections have been absolutely free right here at Sportsbook Review.

ACC Clash in the River City
The Pittsburgh Panthers will play host to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday at Heinz Field with the opening kickoff slated for 3:30 PM ET. According to the college football odds posted by Pinnacle at the time of this writing, Pittsburgh is a 3.0 point favorite, and the total on the game is 54.5. The general public has wagered heavily on the road underdog during the early part of the week. The Sportsbook Review consensus report indicates that 69% of the point-spread wagers thus far have gone the way of Georgia Tech.

Stuck in the Mud After Promising Start
Georgia Tech began the season by winning their first 5-games, and cracking the Top 25 in the AP Poll. However, that win streak came to a screeching halt in their last 2-games. The Jackets lost at home to Duke two weeks ago 31-25, and failed to cover as a 4.0 point favorite. Last week they were involved in a shootout at North Carolina, and came up on the short end of a 48-43 final score. Last week’s loss was a bitter pill to swallow after amassing 611-yards of total offense, and having nothing to show for it. Georgia Tech continues to possess a dominant rushing attack that averages 306-yards per game, and 6.0 yards per carry. Unfortunately the Jackets defense has shown an inability to stop the run as well, allowing 431-yards combined in their two losses, and opponents have run for 189-yards or more in 4 of their 7-games in 2014.

Panthers Tough to Gauge
Pittsburgh continued their unpredictable season by knocking off Virginia Tech in their last game by a score of 21-16, and covered as a 1.0 point home underdog. It was in stark contrast to their previous two home games, losing to Iowa 24-20 as a 6.5 point favorite, and then an absolute shocker when they fell to Akron 21-10 as a 20.5 point favorite. They did capture a quality win in their 2nd game of the season at Boston College by a 30-20 score, and covered as a 5.0 point favorite. The moral to the story on the Panthers so far in 2014, they’re a terribly inconsistent team. Pitt has seen each of their last 4-games go under the total, with an average of 38.8 combined points scored.

Final Analysis
It certainly is asking a lot of someone to place any faith in taking Pittsburgh. The Panthers are far from a bad, you just don’t know what Panther team will show up, the one that knocked off Boston College and Virginia Tech, or the one that was beaten at home by Akron. Despite the inconsistencies, the Panthers match up very well versus Georgia Tech. They’re stout against the run, and they possess a very good rushing attack that averages 239-yards per game, and 5.2 yards per carry. My lean for your college football picks on this game goes the way of the small home favorite.
