Looking to Right the Ship
Texas comes off an entertaining 48-45 home win over Iowa State last Saturday, but failed to cover as a 10.5 point favorite. Despite the win, the Longhorns are off to a disappointing 3-4 start to the season. It was the 2nd time this season an opponent had scored 41-points or more against the Longhorns on their home field. Iowa State also racked up 524-yards of total offense on the Texas defense. This Saturday will be just their 2nd true road game of the season. They were a 23-0 winner over Kansas in their only other road tilt this season.

Wildcats Rolling
Kansas State is off to a 5-1 starts to the season, is ranked 11th in the country, comes off an 31-30 upset win at Oklahoma last Saturday, and is a perfect 3-0 in Big 12 Conference games. Their only loss came at the hands of an extremely good Auburn team by a score of 20-14. They held that explosive Tigers offense to 359-yards, and were able to cover the game as a 7.0 point home underdog. The Wildcats have gone a stellar 21-5 at home since the start of the 2011 season, and covered 17 of those 26-games. They’ve also gone a perfect 5-0 SU&ATS in their last 5 as a conference home favorite of 6.0 or more, versus an opponent with a winning percentage of better than .400. They won those 5-games by an average of 23.6 points per game.
