The college football odds, into Week 11, that means that any teams with one loss on the season are trying to stay in the playoff race, their conference race, or their division race, or a combination.

Maryland Terrapins vs. Michigan State Spartans
This is a game in which the Spartans, having lost to Nebraska the previous week, are going to be really mad. It’s a great way to get the attention of young athletes: Watch them lose a game in which they needed to win and also should have won. Michigan State led by 12 points midway through the fourth quarter, and the Spartans certainly felt they were going to win. However, feeling you are going to win and actually winning are very different things. The Spartans relaxed and did not finish out the game to the very end. They were a little casual and lost all momentum once they began to relax.

Michigan State can’t do anything about that loss. It has to go forward and try to avoid putting itself in a bad situation. The Spartans are so used to playing in big games that they should be trusted with getting this job done against a bad Maryland team on Saturday. Michigan State won’t leave anything to chance, and that’s the kind of attitude a bettor hopes for if he’s going to lay 15 points.

Kansas Jayhawks vs. TCU Horned Frogs
The key point to make here is that TCU receiver Josh Doctson, though cleared by doctors to play in this game, is coming off a wrist injury the previous week in a loss to Oklahoma State. Doctson is a player the Horned Frogs need to be healthy for the bigger games on the schedule. It’s hard to imagine Doctson playing the full game or a large number of snaps in this game. He might certainly get tested in this game, to make sure that he can easily catch and stiff-arm defenders. However, he’s probably going to be treated cautiously by the TCU coaching staff. TCU knows it needs to keep the playbook simple against an easy opponent. Games with these huge point spreads are won by the favorite if the favorite has every reason to go all-out and play with a maximum of purpose. TCU is not in that position here, and there will be a hangover effect after the loss to Oklahoma State. Take Kansas to cover the college football odds with TCU winning by 38.

Miami Hurricanes vs. North Carolina Tar Heels
It’s true that Miami won on the road at Duke, but North Carolina pounded Duke, scoring over 60 points against the Blue Devils. If North Carolina could embarrass Duke, it can embarrass the Miami team which needed a controversial kickoff return to beat Duke. Take the Tar Heels here and feel confident about your college football picks.
