College Football at the Bristol Motor Speedway! Our capper analyzes the college football odds and provides his insight on what is the best angle for you to get behind.

Virginia Tech vs. Tennessee
Gentlemen, start your engines! What? We’re playing a College Football game here at Bristol Motor Speedway in front of 150,000 people on Saturday night? What gives Bubba? Yep, historic Bristol Motor Speedway is the site of the this NCAAF Week 2 Odds game between ACC Coastal Division and former Frank Beamer-ettes Virginia Tech and SEC East Division members Tennessee under the prime time Saturday night lights in Bristol, Tennessee.

Offshore oddsmakers have Tennesse as heavy 12-point favorites with the Total now at 54 with the Volunteers -6½ in the NCAAF Week 2 1st Half Odds marketplace with the NCAAF Week 2 1st Half Total set at 28u. The Money Line odds in this game see Tennessee as healthy -480 Favorites with Virginia Tech priced at +380 in what’s considered a Neutral site game. The Tennessee Volunteers Team Total Points is set at 32½ (-110, Ladbrokes), while the Virginia Tech Hokies Team Total Points is at 21.

Virginia Tech Hokies
Virginia Tech and 1st-year Head Coach Justin Fuente got off to a decent start of the 2016 Regular Season last weekend, beating cupcake and Division I FCS school Liberty, 36-13—but failing to cover against the Flames—in Blacksburg.

Tennessee Volunteers
Tennessee and 4th-year Head Coach Butch Jones were served a quick dose of humility in NCA Week 1 as the SEC school escaped with a 20-13 win over Division I FBS power Appalachian State at Neyland Stadium in Nashville last weekend. One good thing has been the Vols Defense which has allowed just 13 (APP ST), 6 (NORTHWESTERN, Bowl), 28 (VAND), 8 (MIZZOU) and 0 (NORTH TEXAS) or a grand total of just 55 points (11.0 ppg) in its L5 games. Not too shabby. And seemingly a good thing for the Under.

Best Betting Approaches
The last time that these two College Football-intense schools met was back in 2009 in the Chick-fil-A Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta where the Hokies covered ATS as 5-point favorites, winning 37-14. Here in NCAAF Week 2, there has been significant money on the Vols, driving the line up from 10 to its current (Thursday night) high of 11½ (-115, Trend-wise, Tennessee is 4-0 ATS in its L5 against a team with a Winning Record, 7-3 ATS its L10 following an ATS Loss but the Volunteers are 4-10 ATS their L14 after allowing 170 yards or less passing in the previous game and 1-4 ATS their L5 against ACC opponents. Virginia Tech is 4-1 ATS their L5 after allowing 100 yards or less Rushing but when playing an FBS Division I FCS school like Liberty, you can almost toss that Trend out the window. Virginia Tech is 7-17-2 in its L26 Non-Conference games and 5-15-1 ATS their L21 in the Month of September, including last week’s added game ATS Loss to the Flames. And Virginia Tech is just 1-4 ATS in its L5 against the SEC, 2-8 ATS its L10 after a SU Win of 20+.

Here, taking a game side like the Hokies with the 11½ points against Tennessee seems to be the college football pick. Also here, maybe using QB Evans and Virginia Tech in a 7-point Teaser at +18½ (points) with some other NCAAF Week 2 sides like Missouri -18, Appalachian State -14 (against Old Dominion), Florida -8½ (against Kentucky), Notre Dame -21 (against Nevada) and Iowa State +22 (against Iowa) also might be a fun and profitable little College Football ride on Saturday.
