Handicapper Matt Jordan:
Looking for a common opponent? Georgia opened the season with a 45-21 win over Clemson while the Jackets beat the Tigers 28-6 two weeks ago. Few too many points on college football odds here so take Georgia Tech. The road team has covered 12 of the past 16 meetings.

Could both teams be looking ahead to conference title games next week? The Jackets will play Florida State for the ACC title. The Dawgs need Missouri to lose at home to Arkansas on Friday -- a distinct possibility-- to win the SEC East Division. Georgia Tech has lost five straight to Georgia and 12 of the last 13. Georgia is a 13.5-point favorite.

Whopping 66-point total here even though both clubs would just as soon run it all day. The Dawgs don't have Todd Gurley any longer but have hardly missed him behind freshman Nick Chubb, who will be a top Heisman Trophy candidate in 2015. Georgia Tech will flat-out tell you it's going to run 95 percent of the time with its triple option. Go under.

Handicapper Ross Benjamin:
Any home team playing in game 7 of the season or beyond, that allowed 7-points or less in the 1st half of each of their previous 2-games, and both teams in the contest have a +10.0 or more point per game differential on the season, has gone 83-43 (65.9%) ATS since 1992. Play on the Georgia Bulldogs minus the points.

Any team (Georgia) in a non-conference game with a total of 63.5 to 70.0, that has a winning percentage of .800 or better, versus an opponent with a winning record, has seen 26 of those 33-games (78.8%) go under the total during the last 10-seasons.For your college football picks play on this game to go under the total.

Both of these teams are enjoying fine seasons. Georgia Tech (9-2) has already clinched a spot in the ACC championship games versus Florida State. The Georgia Bulldogs (9-2) will be hoping that Arkansas can knock off Missouri on Saturday, and if that occurs they would play for the SEC title next week. Georgia has won the last 5-games in this in state rivalry series.

This is a huge total and justifiably so. Georgia Tech has gone over the total in 4 of their 5-games on the road with an average of 61.6 points scored. Georgia has gone over the total in 5 of their 6 at home with an average of 60.8 points scored. The question will be whether the inflated number of 66.0 may have been set a bit higher than where it should be, and all due to the anticipation of public money overwhelmingly coming in on the over in this game.

Handicapper Jeff Grant:
Georgia ranks second in the country with a plus-16 turnover margin, which will secure a victory by two or more touchdowns.

Georgia has put together a lofty 12-1 SU record in this series during the Mark Richt era, while Georgia Tech is one of the hottest teams in the country in putting together a 4-0 SUATS streak.

Both teams will take to the ground, with the Bulldogs entering with 34 rushing touchdowns, while the Yellow Jackets are third in the country in averaging 343.5 yards per game in that situation. With the road team going 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings, it’s hard not to look at the OVER, as Georgia Tech has gone above the number in four of five games away from home.

Guide to 107th Edition of Georgia Tech vs. Georgia Rivalry

Handicapper Dave Lawrence:

The Yellow Jackets have won four straight and secured their spot in the ACC Championship Game. They don't really need this game but it is a rivalry. Georgia has more to play for as they need this win to keep up with Missouri in the SEC East. I see the Bulldogs as the real deal at 9-2 and I'm skeptical of the Yellow Jackets, even though they are ranked. The Bulldogs should be able to get an early lead and shut down the Jackets option here.

I see this as an under as the Bulldogs should keep the Yellow Jackets running game under wraps. .
