South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia opened the scoring on a 50-yard punt return for a score from Isaiah McKenzie, and despite a sluggish offensive performance, was never really threatened. Sonny Michel gave the Bulldogs a 14-3 lead on a 31-yard scoring dash.2. Vanderbilt only managed two Tommy Openshaw second quarter field goals before finally getting into the end zone on a seven-yard Latevius Rayford catch in the final five minutes. The Commodores had one late chance, but Dominick Sanders came up with a pick six.3. Greyson Lambert ran for a five-yard score, but the Georgia passing game struggled.– Nick Chubb ran 19 times for 189 yards, and Sony Michel ran 12 times for 56 yards and a score.  Greyson Lambert completed 11-of-21 passes for 116 yards, and ran for a five-yard score. Brice Ramsey hit 2-of-4 passes for 25 yards. Georgia committed ten penalties for 79 yards.

Kentucky got hot and then hung on, overcoming a 7-0 deficit with 24 straight points helped by short touchdown runs from Mikel Horton, Jojo Kemp and Patrick Towles.  2. South Carolina got a one-yard Connor Mitch touchdown run to start, but lost him to a shoulder injury. The offense sputtered and stalled, only managing three short Elliott Fry field goals in the third before pulling within two on a 33-yard Jerrell Adams catch from Perry Orth. The two point conversion wen the other way with Denzil Ware returning it for a four point UK lead.  3. USC had a few more chances, but the UK D held on.  – Connor Mitch completed 4-of-7 passes for 43 yards before getting hurt. Perry Orth completed 13-of-20 passes for 179 yards and a score with a pick.  Brandon Wilds ran 16 times for 106 yards.  The offense ran for 195 yards and threw for 222, but it couldn’t close. Way too many drives led to field goals.

Line Moves & Injuries
The College Football Odds for this game went from 15.5 to 17 and the total dropped from 54 to 52.  No major injuries to report.

Betting Outlook
It’s do or die time for South Carolina after a strange and disappointing home loss to an okay Kentucky team. Going 0-2 in the East would be a disaster for a Gamecock team that still has to deal with Missouri, Texas A&M and Tennessee on the road. The Bulldogs took care of the SEC free space came at Vanderbilt, but with Alabama up next in conference play, they can’t afford to drop the home date and lose to USC for the second year in a row.  Be shocked if there are fireworks. The South Carolina run defense appears to be tougher and better, while Georgia isn’t going to start opening up the passing game to a high-octane level. Greyson Lambert will avoid the costly mistake, and Nick Chubb has to fight through an ankle injury, but Georgia will get through this and move on. It’s just not going to be pretty.  We like South Carolina as the College Football Pick to cover the number all day in this one, but look for GA to get the win.
