There are three NCAAF games tonight and we have opinions on a pair so let’s get to cashing our college football picks right now!

Florida State (2-4 SU, 0-5-1 ATS) vs. Boston College (4-4, 5-3 ATS)

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Just a few years ago the Seminoles were in contention for a national title but now they are trying to claw their way to a .500 record. Anyone backing FSU in their college football picks has watched the Noles bleed their wallet dry as they have yet to cover this season. Some would say stay far away from this one but until this point we have yet to dabble on games featuring Florida State and believe the time is right to back them in this spot.

Boston College has impressed recently with two wins over Louisville and Virginia as sizeable underdogs in each. The Eagles are shaking the funk off their many years of futility and giving their fans something to cheer about which could have much to do with the college football odds moving significantly from FSU as eight-point road chalk down to as low as 3 ½ at BetOnline. Jacque Patrick, Florida State’s starting tailback, will miss this one as he is sidelined with a knee injury but Florida State won’t miss a beat with Cam Akers as the primary rushing threat.

We know a good number when we see one and despite the flurry of action on Boston College, we will lay the small number and back the Seminoles in our college football picks. BC has been surprisingly good on the ground, averaging 193.8 yards per game rushing (39th) but is only averaging 23 points per game. That is actually four points more than the Noles are scoring but FSU’s defense is stouter, holding opponents to 22.5 PPG which ties them for 44th in the nation versus BC’s 27.5 PPG. The FSU offense will eventually click and this squad is not nearly as inept as their record indicates. Let’s back the road chalk at a great number and cash a ticket!

Free College Football Pick: Florida State -3 ½ (-125)

Best Line Offered: at BetOnline

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3187467, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,93,19,139,180], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]

Tulsa (2-6 SU, 3-5 ATS) vs. SMU (5-2 SU, 5-2 ATS)

These AAC rivals put up plenty of points and let up a bunch as well. This should be a classic shootout with SMU being tagged as a relatively heavy favorite. But the long and short of this one is that Tulsa has a rushing game that can control the tempo and maintain ball control while the clock ticks and keeps SMU’s potent passing game off the field.

The oddsmakers are giving the Golden Hurricanes too many points in my estimation so we will side with the road dog here and watch the fireworks commence at Gerald Ford Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Free College Football Pick: Tulsa +9

Best Line Offered: at 5Dimes

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3188158, "sportsbooksIds":[19,1096,169,139,180], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]
