There are two really huge day games on the schedule in the middle of the afternoon worthy of your college football picks this Saturday. Here they are, along with an intriguing Big 12 game.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Texas A&M Aggies
Odds:
Alabama -4
This is a game in which the Crimson Tide are playing for their season. Alabama has lost one SEC game, so a second loss would severely hurt Alabama’s SEC championship hopes and almost completely eliminate the team from the national championship race. Those are powerful motivators for the Crimson Tide, who have not yet settled into their season and know how big a moment this is for them. Alabama’s experience in big games should be a factor here, not just in itself, but because Texas A&M doesn’t have the same kind of experience. The Aggies were sensational in 2012 under Johnny Manziel, but ceased to be a factor the last two years. They’re trying to once again be a factor, but Alabama is used to this kind of pressure every season. That has to be something bettors should consider, as should the idea that Alabama – while weak at quarterback and wide receiver – is strong just about everywhere else. On the offensive and defensive lines, at linebacker and in the secondary, the Crimson Tide have a very strong team. That’s probably going to wear down Texas A&M, as long as the Tide don’t commit turnovers and dig themselves a hole early on. As long as the game is close in the third quarter, Alabama should take over in the fourth and win this game, probably by covering the College Football Odds and winning by more than four points.

Oklahoma Sooners vs. Kansas State Wildcats
Odds:
Oklahoma -4.5
The Oklahoma Sooners looked terrible last week against the Texas Longhorns. Their offensive line didn’t play well, but their defensive line – while solid in the second half – got pushed around for much of the first half. The Sooners were also playing a Texas offense which was very limited, and ran only a few basic plays, such as a quarterback sweep. Kansas State has a better passing quarterback than Texas. Joe Hubener has shown that he can lead an offense which scores a lot of points. He guided his team to 45 points against TCU last week. It wasn’t enough, but that was the fault of the Wildcats’ defense. Kansas State might give up 30, but it can easily score 35 to 38 points and win this game outright. Take the Wildcats with your College Football Picks.

Michigan State Spartans vs. Michigan Wolverines
Odds:
Michigan -8
It’s a game that, before the season, was supposed to be one in which Michigan State would be the clear favorite, perhaps favored by eight points. Instead, Michigan is favored by eight, and no one is really surprised, either. The Wolverines have been playing lights-out defense. They haven’t given up a point in over two games. They have won back-to-back shutouts, and with Michigan State missing important offensive linemen and defensive backs, the Wolverines appear to have many significant positional advantages. This is a game Michigan should win comfortably.
