One of three clashes between ranked teams in the SEC this week, Texas A&M is favored by almost a touchdown on the NCAA football odds against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Okay, so I need to first add the disclaimer that I've been a Texas A&M Aggie since approximately nine months before birth, and few teams get my maroon blood boiling as much as the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Now, let's begin dissecting the matchup between these two ranked unbeaten teams from the Southeastern Conference with some objectivity and decorum. ESPN begins its national coverage at 9 PM (ET), the official kickoff a few minutes later. They'll be performing on the surface at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, officially known as Jerry's World, and there's the usual hype from the talking heads in the media.

BetOnline, where you will find a 50% sign up bonus, went out with a fairly tight -2½ line favoring A&M, but the market quickly corrected that up to 6½ at Bookmaker, another highly-ranked SBR sportsbook. Totals from 49-49½ can be found, one of the lower scoreboard barriers on Saturday's Week 4 card.

Last 2 Meetings Have Gone To Overtime
Texas A&M has been designated the home team in this game, and Aggies will represent in their typical high-class fashion as the majority crowd at AT&T. But make no mistake, it would be a completely different game at Kyle Field where R-kansas fans would be outnumbered 25, maybe 30-to-1.

Mostly because the Aggies have not done well at Kyle in conference games, their 58-10 wipeout of the Hogs in 2012 one of the few SEC home wins. I'd more quickly take Arkansas and 6-6½ on the NCAA football odds in College Station than here in Arlington where Texas A&M has won by 7 in overtime each of the past two seasons.

Defense is back for the Wrecking Crew, the Aggies top 20 in scoring (13.3 ppg) but still giving up too many yards. The offense is certainly doing its part behind Trevor Knight, the transfer from Oklahoma helping the Aggies to 3-straight covers. Explosive weapons like Christian Kirk and Trayveon Williams leave Texas A&M one play from breaking off a long score at any point in time.

A&M 4-0 In SEC Play Vs. Arkansas
It's the 73rd time the Aggies and Razorbacks have gotten together, the Hogs owning a 41-28-3 overall record. All 41 wins for Arkansas came back in the old Southwest Conference days and before the two became SEC brethren. Texas A&M has won all four since joining 'The Conference,' covering three against the college football odds.

The Ags were giving up 6 a year ago when the rivals met on the final Saturday of September, leaving the D-FW Metroplex with a 28-21 OT dubya. Arkansas missed a 38-yard FG on the final play of regulation to help extend the game and lift both A&M and its backers.

We're not too concerned about the weather being indoors, but it doesn't look real promising outside in Arlington on Saturday evening (80%-100% chance of thunderstorms). So all you Ags and Hogs be careful on the roadways.

Oh my, here I am this far into the free college football pick and having not said too much about the Razorbacks. That's partly because I don't like 'em, but also because the most important thing to say is to take them and the points. This is a team very capable of turning out to be the best team in the SEC West not named Alabama this year, plus I've taken the points in A&M's only two real games so far, and ain't about to jinx how that's turned out (wink).
