We're going to discuss Friday's college football clash between Boise State and Virginia. Go inside to read our reveling betting preview article that concludes with a point spread pick.

Friday ESPN ACC vs. MWC Clash
Virginia hosts Boise State in an ESPN national broadcast on Friday. The opening kickoff at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia is slated for 8:00 PM ET. The College Football Odds indicate that Boise State is a 2.5 point road favorite.

Somewhat Disappointing Start for Broncos
There was some speculation before the season began, Boise State was a long shot possibility to reach the college football four team playoff. In order for that unlikely scenario to occur for a team not in a Power Five Conference, they must run the table. Well that dream was squelched for Boise State in just game 2 of the season when they suffered a gut wrenching  35-24 loss at BYU. They led that contest 24-21 with less than a minute to play, and then BYU completed a fourth down "Hail Mary" pass for a touchdown. BYU added a "pick six" with seconds to play for the final margin of victory. Boise opened the season with a closer than expected 16-13 home win over Washington. Last week they blew out Idaho State who plays at the FCS level.

Which Cavaliers Team will show up on Friday
Virginia opened the season with a decisive loss at UCLA. The following week they hosted 8th ranked Notre Dame in their home opener. The Cavaliers opened up as a 12.0 point home underdog in a game that looked like a tall task for sure, versus a Notre Dame team that was coming off a 38-7 blowout win over Texas. Well, they overcame a double digit deficit in the 4th quarter to tie the game, only to lose on a 37 yard touchdown pass by a backup quarterback with only 0:13 left to play. Then last week against a FCS opponent they were expected to have an easy time with, Virginia had to withstand a late rally in order to hold on for a 35-29 win over William & Mary. Jekyll and Hyde doesn't have anything on the Cavaliers team. Will we see the team on Friday that gave Notre Dame a huge scare, or the one that barely hung on against William and Mary?

Final Analysis
One thing I am certain of, Boise State is the better of these two teams on paper. I don't trust Virginia, especially when facing a program with a winning tradition like Boise State. My early lean on this contest goes to the road team for one of my College Football Picks.
