The final Tuesday MAC doubleheader of the season will have a bow put on it with the Buffalo Bulls hosting the Eastern Michigan Eagles, and we will make our best Eastern Michigan vs. Buffalo prediction based on the best college football odds.

Narrowly defeating the Akron Zips 30-27, the Eastern Michigan Eagles propelled themselves to a 5-6 record, keeping their bowl hopes alive. In their last four games, the Eagles hold a 1-3 record, and they have failed to score more than 23 points in regulation in any of those contests.

Experiencing difficulties with their third consecutive loss, the Buffalo Bulls scored 13 or fewer points in each of their last three games. However, these recent struggles came against formidable opponents, particularly the top teams within the MAC conference. Despite the string of losses and low-scoring outcomes, Buffalo's recent on-field difficulties may have been significantly contributed to by its challenging schedule against the conference's best teams.

As part of our Week 13 college football predictions, here is our best Eastern Michigan vs. Buffalo prediction and our college football picks (odds via our best college football betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Eastern Michigan vs. Buffalo prediction: Week 13

Eastern Michigan +6.5 (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐

The Bulls have no chance of playing in a bowl game. Whether they can cover this spread will depend on how much they value playing spoiler for a conference opponent.

On the other hand, this game means everything to the Eagles. With a win, they earn bowl eligibility, while a loss ends their season.

If you look at just the records, the Eagles are the easy play. However, the Bulls have played an incredibly difficult schedule during the last three weeks. They played the top three teams in the MAC, and though they lost each game by at least 10 points, they were within three points in the fourth quarter in two of the three contests.

Neither one of these teams has much ability on the offensive side of the ball. The Bulls are averaging just 20.3 points per game, while the Eagles are averaging 18.7. The defenses are each allowing over 25 per game, but the Bulls haven’t scored over 25 in five games, and the Eagles haven’t scored more than 25 in regulation in four.

Though the Under is tempting, this is a low number, and either one of these teams could take advantage of bad defense in rainy conditions. So rather than taking the Under, we recommend playing the Eagles to cover.

The Bulls are better than their record suggests, but the Eagles have everything to play for, and even if they don’t win, they should keep this low-scoring game within a field goal.

bet365 (-110)

DraftKings FanDuel BetMGM Caesars bet365
+6.5 +6.5 +6.5 +6.5 +6.5
-110 -110 -110 -110 -110

The spread and price are the same at each of our best sports betting apps. If you want to parlay with the Over, then FanDuel is the best place to play that, because it's still offering a total of 35.5 while our other best sports betting sites are offering 36.

Based on early action, this spread could grow to seven or 7.5. Because of that, we recommend waiting a bit to bet. When the spread moves, our best sportsbooks should start showing different prices, and at least one should be able to provide a value of -110 for +7.

Eastern Michigan vs. Buffalo odds analysis

The Bulls opened as 6.5-point favorites, and the spread has not moved yet. However, with 75% of bettors backing the Bulls to cover the spread in this game, it shouldn’t be long before this spread is sitting at the key number of seven. If you’re on the Bulls, get in as soon as possible. But if you’re on the Eagles, you may even be able to get this at +7.5.

The total opened at 35.5, and the number has moved up to 36 at four of our best live betting sites. FanDuel is the only one to still have this total listed at 35.5, but we expect it to raise its number before kickoff, as 77% of wagers back the Over.
