Handicapper Matt Jordan:
USC isn't as bad as its record. One-point loss to Missouri. Seven-point loss to Kentucky. Seven points to Auburn. Three in overtime to Tennessee. Steve Spurrier's team could be 10-1 with a few breaks. Make it six straight in this series for the Cocks.

South Carolina has massively underachieved this season at 6-5 but the Gamecocks have owned this rivalry by winning five straight. Both teams warmed up with cupcakes last week. The big question here is whether Clemson freshman QB Deshaun Watson will play. He's questionable with a knee injury and the Tigers' offense simply isn't as good with backup Cole Stoudt. No opening line because of Watson's status.

No opening total because of Watson but presumably if he plays it won't be at 100 percent. He's a star in the making but hasn't seen an SEC-caliber defense yet, even if South Carolina's unit isn't all that good this season. The under is 4-0 in the past four meetings so that's the play.

Handicapper Ross Benjamin:

South Carolina has gone a perfect 5-0 SU&ATS in their last 5-games versus Clemson. However, this is a very fragile South Carolina team compared to what they've put on the field in recent years. They're 6-5 heading into their season finale which may be good at a lot of schools, but is deemed unacceptable for a Steve Spurrier coached team. The offense has held up its end of the bargain, but the defense has been a huge liability.

Clemson enters this fierce rivalry game having won 7 of their last 8-games, and with a more than respectable 8-3 record. Their 3-losses came versus some very good teams in Georgia, Florida State, and Georgia Tech who have gone a combined 29-4 this season.

South Carolina has seen 3 of their 4 road games go over the total this season, and the average combined points scored in those 4-games was a very lofty 71.2. The Gamecocks offense has played well enough this season for them to have been a contender in the SEC. Unfortunately the defense has been a huge disappointment, allowing 30.8 points and 428.4 yards per game.

The Clemson Tigers have seen 6 of their last 7-games stay under the total this season. It's been a stellar 2014 campaign for a Clemson defensive unit that suffered through some lean seasons in recent years. The Tigers have allowed 20-points or less in 6 of their last 7-games, and they've gone under the total in each of their last 4 home games.

Free College Football Pick: Tentatively Clemson ATS

Handicapper Jeff Grant:
There’s no question this is the biggest game of the year for Clemson, which makes it a playable option due to the home team being 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings.

Four of South Carolina’s five losses this season have come by a touchdown or less, which makes it a playable college football odds road underdog at any price as long as Clemson signal-caller Deshaun Watson remains sidelined with a knee injury.

The Gamecocks have won each of the last five meetings by double digits—outscoring the Tigers by a 155-71 combined margin. Clemson’s defense has the ability to keep South Carolina under wraps, as it has limited opponents to 210.8 yards per game at home in 2014.

Free College Football Pick: Clemson ATS & Under

Handicapper Dave Lawrence:
I have a slight lean with Clemson here minus the points but I don't love it. South Carolina has merely been so dysfunctional that I can' trust them in this spot. Take the Tigers here.

South Carolina has a steady offense but no defense to speak of, which should push this game over the number. Both teams should approach about 40 points in a very back-and-forth affair.

Free College Football Pick: Clemson -4.5
