The Rose Bowl might see its largest crowd of the year this Saturday as the No. 23 UCLA Bruins (5-2) prepare to host the Colorado Buffaloes (4-3) in a nationally-televised matchup between two Pac-12 teams. UCLA, fresh from a 42-7 victory over the Stanford Cardinal, faces the Buffaloes, who suffered a narrow 46-43 defeat against the same Cardinal on October 13 before their Week 8 bye.

Ethan Garbers Under 262.5 passing yards (-115 via DraftKings, bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
UCLA head coach Chip Kelly surprised everyone by giving junior quarterback Ethan Garbers the nod over true freshman Dante Moore last weekend. Garbers, who started the season opener against Coastal Carolina before relinquishing the QB1 job to Moore, led the Bruins to a convincing win over the Cardinal. He finished 20-for-28 for 240 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
But Kelly has since told the media that the QB switch was a result of health, with Moore battling an injury earlier in the week leading up to that Stanford game. Moore ended up playing a bit in the blowout, finishing 4-of-5 for 26 yards.
Garbers is presumably going to make a second-straight start, but there is no telling how much he will play with Moore being fully healthy this weekend. To be honest, it's difficult to project either quarterback to finish with this many passing yards in a game where UCLA could lean on its ground game as a two-touchdown favorite.
In his three-year career, Garbers has appeared in 23 games for the Bruins. He has cleared this mark just once, throwing for 265 yards in a road loss to Utah in 2021. Last week's performance against Stanford was the only other time that Garbers has thrown for more than 164 yards.
Colorado's defense is certainly vulnerable, but consider me skeptical that it will take a huge passing performance from Garbers to get the job done. We might see multiple quarterbacks on Saturday night, as UCLA needs to identify its QB1 heading into the home stretch of the regular season.
