Our college football handicapper is in the black and back with a trio of totals to start your early card in Week 4 of the 2016 season. Perfect for all those early wagers on Saturday.

Kent State vs Alabama
Alabama coach, Nick Saban, was publically critical of his team after beating Western Kentucky by 'only' a score of 38-10 in Week 2, although for the ‘Bama backers that was good enough to cover the spread. In this game against the Kent State Golden Flashes, Alabama is even a larger favorite with the line touching 44 at BookMaker. Again, Saban is stressing to his team, at least publically, that they have to be prepared to play and respect their opponent. Ok, that’s great and all, but we have to remember that these are 19-21-year-olds who read ESPN and know how much better they are than Kent State.

Another interesting angle in this game is that Kent State is actually coach Saban’s alma mater. How much embarrassment he wants to pile on them is yet to be seen, but I don’t think he will let up out of respect either. This game will end up similar to the 2011 meeting, where Alabama won 48-7, which will put this game over the listed total of 50. (I would also lean heavily for Kent State to cover the 44 points as well at Bovada).

Wisconsin vs Michigan State
Oddly enough, this is the first time that Wisconsin and Michigan State have played each other in 4 years, even though they reside in the same conference. It couldn’t come at a better time, as Wisconsin is currently ranked 11th and Michigan State 8th in the country.

The biggest thing that sticks out in this matchup is the total, currently listed at 41.5 at BookMaker. That line has steadily come down throughout the week as I believe there are some questions about the Wisconsin offense. But questions aside, the trends coming into this game firmly favor betting Over the total. The Over is 8-2 in the last 10 matchups between these two teams, and 4-1 in the last five meetings played in Lansing. I’m sticking with the trend here, and wagering that Wisconsin’s defense will be pressured a lot and finally give up some points. Take Over the low total of 41.5 at BookMaker in this game as a Saturday morning College Football Pick.

Nevada vs Purdue
I grabbed the under early last week with Nevada hosting Buffalo before it moved three points and still cashed. That’s the game plan here, as I don’t trust the Nevada offense to put up a lot of offense on the road against a big conference foe, similar to when they only put up 10 points against Notre Dame. Purdue’s defense won’t nearly be tested as much as they were against surprising Cincinnati, a game that in which they gave up 38 points. Look for Purdue to be uninterested in this opponent, and for the game to slog to a point total around 50. Take the Under here with confidence.
