History is about to be made, as we will find out who will play for the national championship on the last day of 2021. Here are our top New Year's Eve college football prop picks.

New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest days of the year for college football, as we have two highly anticipated College Football Playoff semifinals. The spreads are interesting, but prop picks are the way to go for a full day of football action.

With prop picks, it can be about more than just the score. Which players will live up to the hype? Which teams will start off strong? If you can answer these questions, you’ll find value with prop picks.

Here are my top prop picks for the New Year's Eve's college football bowl games (odds via FanDuel; pick confidence is based on a one-to-five star scale).

New Year's Eve College Football Prop Predictions

Williams To Score 2+ Touchdowns (+220)

This is strictly a value pick. Jameson Williams is the best wide receiver in college football, and he has the speed to torch any secondary. Cincinnati’s corners are arguably the team's strong point, but Alabama will scheme plays to get Williams open space. No one can keep up with him at that point.

John Metchie is unavailable for this game, so it makes sense for Williams to be the focal point of Alabama’s offense. He can score on deep plays or in the red zone. Williams is a game-breaker. He should easily score one touchdown. If Alabama dominates like I expect them to, he has the potential to score two. Don’t be surprised if he is targeted at least 15 times in this game.

Georgia-Michigan 1st half Under 22.5 (-104)

Georgia’s defense was stifling in the regular season. Few teams could even score a single touchdown on the Bulldogs. Will they look like their old self or how they looked against Alabama?

Georgia’s offense won’t score many points in this game. In the first half, they’ll have to play the battle of field position in hopes of capitalizing on Michigan’s mistakes.

Michigan has the 18th ranked offense by yards per game, but they want to win with defense and a run game. That’s why I have the Under hitting in the first half. These teams may take risks as this game progresses, but it will likely be a stalemate early with both teams feeling each other out.

Washington State-Central Michigan 1st half Under 29.5 (-114)

Motivation is hard to gauge in bowl games like this one. Will teams look to rebuild for the next year or try and stay healthy? Will they leave it all out there in hopes of one final win? In this game, I don’t expect either team to light up the scoreboard. Central Michigan was a late addition after the cancellation of the Arizona Bowl, and they've been preparing for a totally different team for a few weeks now.

Expect mistakes and turnovers early. Opportunities to score will be squandered, which is why I like the Under to hit.

Alabama Total Points Over 35.5 (-106)

Alabama’s offensive line is not what we're used to from a Nick Saban team, and they’ll be without Metchie. Still, they’ve had almost a month to prepare for this game. I trust Bill O'Brian to have new plays that will catch Cincinnati’s secondary off-guard.

Alabama has an elite history in semifinal games. They usually win by large margins and flood the stat sheet. They also average 495.5 ypg, sixth in the nation. With a Heisman-winning quarterback and a month to prepare, I expect Alabama to torch the Bearcats.
