Still unbeaten on the season, the Hawkeyes face by far their biggest test when they travel to Madison to do battle with Wisconsin. It's time to break down the college football odds.

Odds Overview
Though the Hawkeyes are undefeated, they find themselves as sizable underdogs for this week's trip to Wisconsin. The Badgers are firm 6.5-point favorites, with some sportsbooks even offering up 7 for the taking. The ML lines on the college football odds board show the Badgers at -270, with Iowa at approximately +230 to win straight up.

This should be a defensive battle on Saturday, and oddsmakers agree. They've posted a total of just 48 points, which is one of the lower numbers out there this weekend.

Wisconsin Badgers
The Badgers opened the season with a huge test against Alabama and ended up on the losing side (35-17). They've since responded by winning three straight games, with the latest coming in style in a 28-0 shutout victory over Hawaii.

With Corey Clement out, the onus has fallen on Taiwan Deal and Dare Ogunbowale to lead the rushing attack, and they've certainly held up their end of the bargain. They've already combined for 571 rushing yards and seven touchdown runs between them, and both will continue to get pletny of work moving forward. Wisconsin has become renowned for their ability to run the football over the years (Melvin Gordon, anyone?) and it looks like that notion will hold true in 2015. Deal was especially effective last week, running for 147 yards and two scores.

Defensively, the Badgers have been out of this world. They've allowed a grand total of THREE points over their last three games, an amazing achievement going into this Big Ten clash with Iowa.

Iowa Hawkeyes
If you're a Hawkeyes fan, or if you've been backing them with your college football picks, there hasn't been much to complain about. Iowa is a perfect 4-0 on the season, with the "best" wins coming over the likes of Pittsburgh and Iowa State. This past week Iowa had no trouble at all with North Texas, winning 62-16 at home.

C.J. Beathard has done a nice job in leading the offense thus far, completing 68.2 percent of his passes to go with a 6:1 TD:INT ratio. He's also an able runner and has accumulated 151 rushing yards and three scores with his legs through four games. Jordan Canzeri has been the workhorse back and has already racked up 316 rushing yards, 145 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, while both Matt VandeBerg and Tevaun Smith have contributed a lot in the passing game; they've caught 37 balls for 477 yards and four scores between them.

A daunting test awaits this Saturday in Madison, however, and we know Beathard and company will have to be at their very best to stay toe-to-toe with the Badgers.

Betting Outlook
You've got to be impressed with how the Hawkeyes have been playing to start the season, but we don't anticipate them having a great day at the office at Wisconsin.

The Badgers haven't skipped a beat since the Clement injury, with both Deal and Ogunbowale stepping up and making big play after big play out of the backfield. Wisconsin loves to run the ball and have had immeasurable success in doing so, and that shouldn't change this weekend, with the Badgers looking to move to 4-1 and preserve their spotless home record in 2015. We've really liked what we've been seeing out of Stave in his management of the offense thus far too, and we can't forget about what this defense has done either.

We don't think for one second that Iowa will roll over and die, but there's a reason Wisconsin is such a sturdy favorite depite having the worse record. With the fans behind them, look for the Badgers to win by at least a touchdown.

College Football Pick: Wisconsin -6.5 at Pinnacle
