The Arizona State Sun Devils have dominated Big Ten Conference opponents at Sun Devil Stadium in the past, as they prepare to meet up with the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday night.

Let’s take a closer look at the college football odds for this non-conference affair in Tempe, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Take a look at my College Football Picks: Opening Odds Report for Week 3.

Cupcake city

Wisconsin has won and covered the number in its first two games—outscoring Tennessee Tech and Massachusetts by a combined 93-0 margin.

The Badgers are led on the sidelines by first-year head coach Gary Anderson, who came over from the Utah State Aggies, while senior James White is the nation’s active leader in yards on the ground among running backs.

College football handicappers will find that the Badgers are 0-2 SUATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons.

Firing the football

Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly has completed 76 of 102 passes for 1,005 yards and 13 touchdowns in his last four games dating back to last year, as he led the program to a 55-0 season-opening victory over Sacramento State on Sept. 5.

The Sun Devils are 2-5 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points since 2011, with the OVER going 5-2 in that situation.

Under the lights

The Badgers have won 10 of 13 games under the lights since 2009, while they happen to be one of just 12 programs to have won at least 70 percent of their games during the BCS era (1998-present).

Wisconsin is the only team in college football to win its conference in each of the last three years—returning 14 of its 22 regular starters from a season ago.

Quite a situation

The point spread movement in this matchup is definitely something to focus on, considering a good amount of the action has landed on the road underdog—yet the line has moved in the opposite direction.

Arizona State is 8-0 SU all-time versus Big Ten Conference opponents at this venue—outscoring those opponents by a dominating 320-111 margin.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Sun Devils with their college football picks, as they’ve gone 8-0 SUATS when winning as a favorite under second-year head coach Todd Graham.
