The Stanford Cardinal and Washington Huskies have been tearing through this year’s slate, including a combined 4-0 spread record in their last two weeks of action.

Saturday’s NCAAF betting slate has the rivals clashing at Stanford Stadium, where the Cardinal have notched 38 PPG.

Cardinal, Hogan crush Cougars

Stanford’s latest win came in last Saturday’s 55-17 triumph over the Washington State Cougars, cashing as a nine-point road favorite. Cardinal quarterback Kevin Hogan racked up 286 yards through the air, connecting 16-of-25 passes.

Hogan found wide out Devon Cajuste for two touchdowns, with strikes from 57 and 33 yards out. Cardinal running backs Tyler Gaffney and Anthony Wilkerson united for 101 rushing yards on a combined 24 carries.

Stanford’s defense held the Cougars to 373 total yards, with Jordan Richards and Michael Rector both returning interceptions for touchdowns. The Cardinal allowed a 4-for-16 mark in third-down conversions from Washington State, while the lopsided affair’s 72 points flew OVER the college football odds ‘total’ of 46 ½.

Huskies, Sankey hold off Arizona

Washington saw action on the same night’s card, notching a 31-13 victory as an 8 ½-point home favorite over the Arizona Wildcats. The Huskies pulled away thanks to a pair of late touchdowns, with running backs Bishop Sankey and Jesse Callier taking in one score each.

Sankey rushed for 161 yards on 40 carries, with his offense moving the sticks for 24 first downs in 30 minutes of possession. Huskies quarterback Keith Price threw two touchdown passes, completing 14-of-25 attempts for 165 yards.

The contest’s combined 44 points dipped UNDER the ‘total’ of 60, with Washington holding the Wildcats to 119 yards through the air (3.2 YPP). Huskies defensive backs Sean Parker and Marcus Peters grabbed one interception each, while each side was flagged for seven penalties.

Back Stanford at home

Bet365 opened Stanford as a 6 ½-point home favorite, with early wagers on the Cardinal driving the number north to seven. The ‘total’ was first at 52 ½, remaining unchanged after mixed initial action.

I am laying the points with Stanford as part of Saturday’s NCAAF picks, looking for another sizable win from David Shaw’s squad.

Stanford notched a 42-28 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils in its most recent home affair, jumping out to a 29-0 halftime lead. The Cardinal have logged a 5-2 spread record in their last seven contests at Stanford Stadium, when matched against a foe with a winning road record.

Washington’s sole losing ATS ticket this year came on the road three weeks ago, surviving a 34-24 win over the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Huskies were penalized 12 times (104 yards) and face an even stiffer environment here.

Stanford is 4-1 ATS in its last five meetings with the Huskies, including a 2-0 mark in the span’s pair of home duels. Washington has its share of home-road disparity, bringing a 1-7 spread record in its last eight road matchups against rivals with winning home records.

Look for the Cardinal to collect again here for your sports picks, adding to their 19-6-1 ATS mark in their last 26 battles of Pacific-12 play.
