The Washington Huskies haven’t won in Tempe since 2001, as they prepare to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils Saturday afternoon.

Let’s take a closer look at the college football odds for this Pac-12 Conference matchup at Sun Devil Stadium, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on the Pac-12 Network.

End their losing ways?

Washington has dropped back-to-back games against the Oregon Ducks and Stanford Cardinal, which isn’t that surprising due to those opponents being two of the stronger teams in the Pac-12 Conference.

The Huskies may have a problem bouncing back in this type of spot, considering they’ve lost and failed to cover the spread in their last seven meetings against the Sun Devils.

Winning the statistical battle

Arizona State is 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS through six games of the 2013 season, as it comes off a 54-13 blowout victory over the Colorado Buffaloes as 28.5-point home favorites last Saturday.

The Sun Devils have won the statistical battle against all of their opponents, but lost the rushing battle by a sizable margin when taking on Notre Dame, Stanford and Wisconsin.

Sarkisian's dangerous in this spot

College football handicappers will find that the Huskies are 3-0 ATS as underdogs of eight points or less under head coach Steve Sarkisian when coming off back-to-back losses.

It’s important to point out that the program is 3-9 SU and 5-7 ATS away from Seattle over the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 7-5 in that situation.

Turnover margin

There’s no question that Saturday’s winner will likely win the turnover margin, considering the Sun Devils rank 16th in the country in that particular category, while the Huskies have allowed opponents to score just one touchdown after their eight miscues.

Arizona State owns a 68-28 scoring advantage off of turnovers in 2013, while it sits behind just six teams in terms of fewest penalties per game.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Sun Devils for there college football picks, as the Huskies are 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a double-digit loss at home.
