The Troy Trojans lead the Sun Belt Conference in total offense, as they prepare to take on the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Thursday night. Find out where we've decided to place our money.

Let’s take a closer look at the college football betting odds for this primetime matchup at Cajun Field, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

35 is the magic number

Troy suffered a 49-37 defeat to Louisiana Monroe as 3.5-point home favorites last Thursday, but the program has still compiled a 71-6 SU record under head coach Larry Blakeny when scoring 35 or more points.

The Trojans are 5-4 SU and 3-5-1 ATS through nine games this season, with the OVER cashing in eight of those opportunities.

Louisiana has won six consecutive games since dropping a pair of road games to begin the 2013 campaign, including a 49-35 victory over New Mexico State as 32.5-point home favorites last Saturday.

The Ragin’ Cajuns are first in the Sun Belt and eighth nationally in turnover margin, while the Trojans are 116th in that particular category.

Over the last two-plus seasons, the program is 2-0 SUATS as favorites of 10.5 to 21 points, with both going OVER the total.

College football handicappers need to take a long look at the road underdog, considering Trojans quarterback Corey Robinson is on pace to throw for 3,000 or more yards in his fourth season on campus.

Robinson has tallied 24 300-yard passing games during his career—leading all active signal-callers in that statistic.

The senior needs just one yard of total offense to set the Sun Belt career record.

Pound the rock

The Ragin’ Cajuns lead the conference in averaging 226.8 yards per game, as they attempt to win and cover the spread in this series for the third consecutive time under head coach Mark Hudspeth.

Louisiana is 5-3 SUATS in Weeks 10 through 13 the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 6-2 in that situation.

I’m going to recommend that readers play the total for their college football pick, as the OVER is 7-3 in Louisiana’s last 10 games after allowing 280 or more passing yards in its previous contest.

Troy has gone above the betting total in five of its last six games as an underdog of 10.5 to 21 points.

College Football Pick:  Over 67
