Even though the Broncos were humbled majorly in their season opener, they're one of the biggest favorites on the college football betting boards this weekend.
Sportsbooks have Boise State favored by either 34.5 or 35 points, depending on which sportsbook you look at, while the total is at a high number of 57.5.

To start off their 2013 season, fresh off a 8-3 final record the previous year, the Skyhawks overcame Chattanooga 31-21 on the road.
Despite turning the ball over three times, Tennessee-Martin were efficient enough on offense to stay victorious. In total the Skyhawks had 451 yards, with a staggering 289 of those coming from the ground attack.
Dylan Favre and Jarod Neal both did a serviceable job in running the offense, but the running game was what really made the difference. DJ McNeil had 134 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, while Trent Garland lit up Chattanooga for 116 yards and a score on only eight touches.
There were more troubling signs for the Skyhawks though. Along with those three turnovers, they also were penalized nine times, and that's just not going to cut it against a team like Boise State, especially on the road.
It remains to be seen who gets the start at quarterback for Tennessee-Martin this weekend, but Favre was the more effective of the two last week. His ability to scramble – he had 37 yards and a touchdown in the opening win – could give Favre the edge when head coach Jason Simpson has to make his decision on the starter.
Boise State Broncos
So much for being ranked in the Top 25.
The Broncos opened the season as the #19-ranked team in the AP, but they were beaten down badly in a 38-6 road loss against Washington State. Now the team will have to earn their way back into the rankings.
As you can easily tell by the score-line, nothing went well for Boise State in what was Chris Petersen's worst loss as coach of the program. The Broncos couldn't do anything in the passing attack, with QB Joe Southwick ending up with 152 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception.
Defensively, everything went to hell. Boise State allowed 592 total yards to the Huskies, surrendering 324 passing yards to Keith Price and 268 total rushing yards (and three TDs). Bishop Sankey led the way with 161 yards and two scores for Washington State.
Clearly there's a lot of work to be done for Petersen's crew. They've surely had a tough week of practices leading up to this home opener, and we expect a much more inspired performance in all facets this weekend.
College Football Pick
The Skyhawks may be the team with a 1-0 record, but that's going to change on Saturday.
Boise State is coming to come out with reckless abandon all over the field and will be wanting to quickly erase those painful memories from the performance against Washington State. Tennessee-Martin will be the unfortunate receivers of all of that frustration.
As tempting as it is to take that five-touchdown headstart, we can't help but feel Petersen will have his boys pumped up and ready to take care of business.
This line is so high for a reason: look for this one to turn into a rout.Pick: Boise State Broncos -34.5 at Bet365
