See who we like for our college football picks in this compelling inter-state matchup between North Carolina and NC State, two teams who don't like each other.

The #14 North Carolina Tar Heels (10-1,7-0) have Clemson on their minds and spoiling the Tigers shot at a BCS Championship by winning the ACC Championship, there's still one more hill left to climb and that is against the North Carolina Wolfpack (7-4, 3-4).

Kickoff is set for Satuday, November 28th, at 3:30 p.m. EST at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina. This game can be seen on ABC television. While the Clemson Tigers have a cakewalk with South Carolina, the Heels don't have it as easy this week as they're a 5.5 point betting favorite on the road and the total for the game is listed at 65.5  Thank you to 5Dimes for the college football odds.

Key Notes
N.C. State has been tested by a top 25 team twice in the last 5 games and have failed both tests as the defense couldn't hold it's own. The only way that I see the Pack being competitive in this game is if they're overlooked by the Tar Heels.

Although a small sampling, the Wolfpack are also winless against the spread at home despite being above .500 overall ATS.

Lucky To Win
You would think that an elite team such as North Carolina would destroy a team such as Virginia Tech, but that wasn't the case as it took overtime for the Tar Heels to defeat head coach, Frank Beamer in his final game at home. In fact the Tar Heels, relinquished a 24-10 lead in the 4th quarter as Virginia Tech came storming back for Coach Beamer, but in the end, the Tar Heels won and it didn't do a lot for their confidence as there are two big games staring them in the face.

Marquise Williams
His numbers and performance have been great overall, but last week, North Carolina quarterback, Marquise Williams, had not played his best football. Williams was coming off of two monsters games against Duke and Miami; one thru the air and one on the ground, taking matters into his own hands, but last week he threw for just 50% for 126 yards and 1 TD and ran for 74 yards and 1 TD.

Some quarterbacks would be satisfied with those numbers, but Williams is too good to underproduce at such a crucial point in the season. I look for the senior quarterback to make big plays in this week's game and with the support of running back, Elijah Wood (1060 yards, 14 TD's) , it gives Williams the liberty to throw the football as Williams has also ran for 10 TD's this season.

No Consistency
The Wolfpack have not been able to put a legitimate winning streak together as they have been rotating wins and losses for the past 6 weeks and their last game was a 42-29 victory over Syracuse. Of course, this would leave you to believe that they were headed for a loss. That's a supertitious way of thinking, but in this case, it's likely to happen as they're facing a far superior opponent. That said, a win over the Tar Heels would place the Wolfpack in a big bowl game and that will be their motivation as this game draws nearer.

No Mistakes
This is the one thing that N.C. State quarterback, Jacoby Brissett excels at as he's only thrown 3 interceptions this season to go along with 17 touchdowns and 2242 yards of passing. Like North Carolina, the Wolfpack are primarily a running team, but do have Jaylen Samuels at tight end that's had a superb season with 58 receptions for 502 yards and 7 TD's.

At 5 foot 11, 236 yards, Samuels doesn't fit into the tight end mold and also runs the ball while using his mass. He's also rushed for 310 yards rushing and 7 TD's. This is a very unusual player and his production is needed as he's the second leading rusher on the Wolpack behind Matthew Dayes (865 yards, 12 TD). The options are there for North Carolina State as indicated in the betting total for your college football picks, but I think that Marquise Williams will look to take this game over as North Carolina prepares for the ACC Championship Game.
