While most eyes are focused on the Power Five Conferences we will review what the college football odds are hanging on the smaller conference championship games.

AAC – Temple (10-2 SU, 9-3 ATS) vs. Houston (11-1 SU, 7-5 ATS)
The Houston Cougars will enjoy the home field advantage when they take on Temple in this AAC showdown. The Cougars have only one blemish on a nearly perfect season which was a three-point loss to Connecticut. They ended their season with a dominating win over Navy while Temple concluded their successful 2015 season with a victory over the same Connecticut team that defeated Houston. The Cougars have the luxury of playing at home in this one but there is so little separating these teams that getting a touchdown head start sounds like the right thing to do.

College Football Pick: Temple +7 (-130) at 5Dimes

Conference USA - Southern Miss (9-3 SU, 10-2 ATS) vs. W. Kentucky (10-2 SU, 7-3-2 ATS)
Who needs to bet the schools from the major conferences when you have Southern Mississippi and Western Kentucky that went a combined 17-5-2 ATS and would have been a veritable ATM if you included them in your college football picks throughout this season. But now that we have to choose between the two all I can say is look for plenty of points to be dropped in this one as Southern Miss has averaged almost 60 points per game over their last three while Western Kentucky is averaging 50 per game over their last four. In a game this close grab the gift that the college football odds makers are giving you.

College Football Pick: Southern  Mississippi +7½ at Bovada

MAC - Northern Illinois (8-4 SU, 8-3-1 ATS) vs. Bowling Green (9-3 SU, 9-3 ATS)
For the third year running the Huskies will meet the Falcons in the MAC Championship game. Two years ago Bowling Green upset Northern Illinois 47-27 but the Huskies got their revenge last year with a convincing 51-17 payback victory. This season we see that Northern Illinois could very well be down to its third-string quarterback and have been outgained in three of their last four games. Not exactly steamrolling their way into the championship game against a team like Bowling Green that is 5-0 ATS as double digit favorites.

College Football Pick: Bowling Green -12 at Pinnacle

Mountain West Conference - Air Force (8-4 SU, 8-4 ATS) vs. San Diego St. (9-3 SU, 7-4-1 ATS)
The San Diego State Aztecs have won the last five meetings with Air Force and more impressively have covered the last six. Once again these teams faceoff and the college football odds makers  opened this line at San Diego State -5 ½ but that has dropped an entire point which always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Why are the Falcons getting action and is it sharp or square money? Air Force has a sizeable advantage offensively this season and though the Aztecs have a formidable defense we believe the Falcons will break their streak of futility against their rivals and not only hang within the number but win outright.

College Football Pick: Air Force +4½ at BetOnline
