Saturday afternoon’s early college football odds look to have some of the week’s best value, with a trio of matchups in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Virginia Tech Hokies at Boston College Eagles

Virginia Tech saw a six-game winning streak end with last week’s 13-10 setback against the Duke Blue Devils, upset as a 12-point home favorite. Hokies quarterback Logan Thomas threw four interceptions, falling short despite 39 minutes of possession.

Boston College returns home after a 34-10 defeat on the same card to North Carolina, dropping the duel as a 5 ½-point road dog. Eagles running back Andre Williams marched for 172 rushing yards, reaching the end zone once for his team’s sole touchdown.

The Eagles have cashed at 3-0 ATS in their most recent trio of home affairs, notching 35.3 PPG. For your college football pick look for Williams and Co. to collect as underdogs in Chestnut Hill, while Virginia Tech remains overvalued with a 1-8 spread record in its last nine road contests.

Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Syracuse Orange

Wake Forest saw a 14-3 lead erased in last Saturday’s 24-21 defeat to the Miami Hurricanes, while holding on to cash as a 26-point road dog. The Demon Deacons gave up a deciding touchdown from Miami’s Duke Johnson with 53 seconds left, while giving up 391 total yards.

Syracuse has had a week off following a 56-0 spanking from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, surrendering 26 first downs in Georgia Tech’s 38 minutes of possession. Orange quarterbacks Terrel Hunt and Drew Allen tossed one interception each, while held to a 3-for-12 mark in third down conversions.

Syracuse is in a solid spot to bounce back here, with a 7-1 ATS mark in the team’s last eight contests that followed a spot of allowing more than 40 points. The Orange have cashed with a 4-1-1 spread record after their most recent six defeats, while going 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight battles at Carrier Dome.

College Football Pick:  Syracuse Orange -3 at Bet365

NC State Wolfpack at North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina pulled away in last Saturday’s win over Boston College, with quarterbacks Bryn Renner and Marquise Williams uniting to connect 22-of-29 attempts. The duo notched three touchdowns through the air, while Williams added a rushing score from four yards out.

NC State logged its third straight loss with a 49-17 setback against the Florida State Seminoles, staying within cashing range as a 34-point road dog. Wolfpack running back Shadrach Thornton rushed for a season-high 173 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown dash in the second half.

The Wolfpack should enjoy a drop in class here, while looking for revenge after last year’s 43-35 loss to North Carolina. NC State’s defeat ended the team’s five-win streak in the annual series, while the Wolfpack is 5-2 ATS in their last seven home dates.

College Football Pick:  NC State Wolfpack +3 ½ at The Greek
