The Wolverines have been on a roll, building up a huge amount of momentum ahead of this battle royale with rival Michigan State. Let's review the college football odds for this one.

Odds Overview
Even though the Wolverines are the lower-ranked team in this matchup, they're still sizable favorites on the College Football Odds board against the Spartans. As of now they're favored by either 7 or 7.5 points depending on which betting platform your checking.

Michigan Wolverines
Since losing on the road to Utah in their first game, Michigan has been on a mission, piling up five straight dominant victories and blitzing their way up the polls and rankings as a result. They've posted three straight shutouts in a row, with two of those coming against ranked opponents in BYU and Northwestern. Impressive stuff.

This past weekend, the Wolverines taught the previously undefeated Wildcats a thing or two in a 38-0 win at home. It was dominance from start to finish from Michigan, who have now moved all the way up to #12 in the AP Poll.

Through six games, the Wolverines lead the entire nation defensively, as they've allowed a miniscule 6.3 points per contest so far. That's an incredible achievement and proves just how big of an impact John Harbaugh has already had in his short time with the program. That said, this stout Michigan defense will be tested by Connor Cook, Aaron Burbridge and company this coming Saturday.

Michigan State Spartans
Very quietly the Spartans are humming along, winning week after week. They've still yet to lose a game this season, and they've already earned one standout win at home over Oregon (31-28).

Thing is, few of those victories have been easy. Michigan State has won by a combined 10 points over the last two weeks, barely getting past Purdue at home and then Rutgers on the road. The Spartans were also tested by Air Force and Central Michigan, so it hasn't been the prettiest of undefeated starts for the team so far.

This weekend, obviously, will be Michigan State's biggest challenge of the season, as they run into a red-hot Michigan team on the road. It's a good thing they have experience at the quarterback position in the form of Connor Cook, who owns a 12:2 TD:INT ratio on the year. His favorite target has been Aaron Burbridge, who already has 34 catches for 560 yards and four scores. LJ Scott and Madre London have both been contributing in the run game, totaling over 800 yards and nine rushing scores between them.

NCAA Football Pick
Sure, the Spartans are a great team and have yet to lose a single game this season, but how can we pick against Michigan given how dominant they've been over the last month or so?

This is one of the most impressive runs we've seen in college football, with the Wolverines' defense performing on another level week in and week out. They will embrace the challenge of slowing down the Cook/Burbridge combo, as well as a strong rushing attack that's already accounted for over 1,000 yards along with 12 touchdowns.

On the other side, Michigan State hasn't been nearly as good defensively as we've seen in recent seasons, so we see Michigan finding success when they have the ball. They've got an even stronger run game than Michigan State (accounting for over 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns) and we think they'll be able to control the tempo of this showdown on their home turf. With our College Football Picks, we're riding the momentum and siding with the Wolverines.
