The college football betting season has so much to offer every Saturday night. The three games below on this card are evening games which offer lost of value to play with your college football picks.

Ole Miss Rebels vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
Odds: Alabama -7
This is a game in which the stakes are very high, and the national spotlight will shine brightly upon both programs. This is a revenge game for Alabama, which lost to Ole Miss last year in Mississippi and now gets the Rebels at home. Beyond revenge, though, this is an important game in the SEC West. The Crimson Tide are defending champions, and they know that if they beat Ole Miss, they’ll take a big step toward defending their crown. Ole Miss turned in one of its better seasons in recent years last year, and the Rebels have what many think is one of the best defensive front sevens in the country. However, a loss here would immediately put pressure on the Rebels to not lose the rest of the way. Any team with two SEC West losses would likely go to the back of the line in any chase for both a division championship and a College Football Playoff berth as the SEC champion.

Alabama, playing at home and having a strong defense which has looked sharp so far this season, should be able to dictate the way this game is played. It’s true that Ole Miss has scored over 70 points in each of its first two games, but that’s a reflection on the competition the Rebels have faced. Alabama is a very different animal, and the Tide should be able to get something done at home. Take Alabama against the spread.

College Football Pick: Alabama -7

Florida Gators vs. Kentucky Wildcats
Odds: Florida -3.5
The Kentucky Wildcats have a chance to go 2-0 in the SEC. They also have a chance to take a significant step toward the bowl game they missed last year. Florida is coming off a very shaky performance at home against an East Carolina team whose starting quarterback had been knocked out for the season with an injury. The Gators might be vulnerable enough to be taken. Kentucky hopes that its offense will be able to beat the Florida defense, which is the strong point of the Gators’ roster. Kentucky has a great chance to win, but when big moments come along for Kentucky, the program has historically fallen short of expectations. This isn’t so much about trusting Florida; you should not trust Kentucky in this situation.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. Penn State Nittany Lions
Odds: Penn State -9
It’s true that Rutgers is really distracted this week, and will not have head coach Kyle Flood on the sidelines while he serves a three-game suspension for improper contact with academic personnel at Rutgers. However, Penn State’s offensive line is one of the worst in the nation. The Nittany Lions allowed 10 sacks in their season-opening loss to Temple and were not very effective on offense in week two against Buffalo. Penn State probably wins this game, but Rutgers should definitely cover the number, playing with inspiration instead of sulking. The Scarlet Knights will want to play with pride, for themselves and their other coaches.

College Football Pick: Rutgers +9 at BetCRIS
