The Huskies are looking good, so good in fact that they could be considered as National Title contenders by many. Today they take the field to face OSU, however, there's a sense that the NCAAF odds are a bit low.

Oregon State Beavers

Oregon State is averaging 22.8 points per game while allowing 35.6 points per game so far this season and rank outside of the top 100 teams in yards per play. On the road this season the Beavers haven't done much in their two contests scoring 23 points at Minnesota and then just six points at Colorado. Today they face a very stingy defense in Washington and I think they're going to have a hard time not only scoring but just moving the ball. They have had little consistency at the quarterback position between starter Darrell Garretson and backup Conor Blount both of them completing just around 50% of their passes. Now here's the bad news for  Oregon State, neither of those players are available for this contest and Oregon State will look to sophomore Marcus McMaryion who has completed just around 40% of his passes over two seasons. Look for the Beavers to focus on a pretty decent ground game that averages 5.2 yards per rush ranking them 22nd in the country that might not lead them to many points but will keep the clock moving.

Washington Huskies

Washington averages 51.2 points per game which ranks them second in the country and are allowing just 16.4 point per game which ranks them ninth. They absolutely steamrolled Oregon in their last matchup and there is no reason to think they won't do the same to Oregon State. For me this really comes down to a numbers game and the fact that this line has dropped from 55.5 on the opener for the total to where it sits now at 53. Along with their tremendous offense that ranks first in the country in points per play Washington's defense has been excellent ranking fifth in opponent points per play. What this boils down to is that the Huskies can basically name the final score in this contest but there is good reason why this line has dropped. Look for Washington to handle business but keep things a little bit close to their vest as they prepare to take on Utah next week.

 NCAA football odds

Currently  oddsmakers have this total at 53 across the board. For my NCAA football pick I'm going to back under the total of 53 in this game like at Bookmaker -110. Washington can name the final score but don't look for them to run it up with us some tough games looming in the next few weeks.
