This Thursday night the Baylor Bears play host to the Oklahoma Sooners at the Floyd Casey Stadium. Find out where we've decided to place our cash.

Thursday’s NCAAF betting has a pair of marquee matchups, including the No. 6 Baylor Bears visiting the No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners. The rivals meet for the first time since last year’s 42-34 win for Oklahoma, with the Bears collecting as 21-point road dogs.

Bears, Petty thrash Jayhawks

Baylor reeled off its seventh straight win in last week’s 59-14 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks, jumping out to a 38-0 halftime lead. Bears quarterback Bryce Petty threw for 430 yards and three touchdowns, finding wide out Tevin Reese for a pair of scores.

Baylor’s Shock Linwood and Lache Seastrunk united for 215 rushing yards on a combined 22 carries, reaching the end zone’s paydirt three times. The duo’s offense piled up points quickly, controlling the ball for a sparse 22 minutes of possession.

OVER backers collected with the lopsided affair’s 73 points jumping above the ‘total’ of 66, moving the wager to a 5-1-1 mark in Baylor’s season. The Bears’ defense allowed 308 total yards, holding Kansas to an 8-for-22 mark in third-down conversions.

Sooners edge out Texas Tech

The same day’s card saw Oklahoma pull off a 38-30 win against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, beating the closing line as a seven-point home favorite. Sooners wide out Jalen Saunders caught a pair of touchdowns, notching 153 receiving yards with a team-high six catches.

Oklahoma’s Blake Bell connected 14-of-22 attempts under center for 249 passing yards. The junior moved the sticks for 25 first downs, while running back Damien Williams took in two scores as part of a season-high 97 yards (5.1 YPR).

Sooners defensive mates Gabe Lynn and Aaron Colvin grabbed one interception each, while placekicker Michael Hunnicutt insured his squad’s lead with a late 37-yard field goal. The battle’s combined 68 points leaped beyond the ‘total’ of 59, lifting the OVER to 4-2 in Oklahoma’s last six contests.

Back Baylor as home ‘chalk’

Baylor was first listed as a 13 ½-point home favorite on The Greek’s NCAAF odds board, while Bet365 had its own opinion with an opener of 14 ½. Both shops leveled off by a ‘hook’ to a flat 14, while 5Dimes offered a money line of plus 425 for a Sooners’ upset.

I am laying the two touchdowns here with Baylor, adding Art Briles’ squad to my week of NCAAF picks.

The Bears have shown no mercy in Waco, piling up a stellar 70.6 PPG en route to a 5-0 ATS mark. Seastrunk and Co. notched a pair of cashed tickets in last year’s two home contests against ranked foes, topping the Kansas State Wildcats (No. 1) and Oklahoma State Cowboys (No. 23) by a combined margin of 93-58.

Oklahoma finds itself as an underdog for the first time this year, while going 0-2 ATS in last month’s affairs that took place away from home. The Sooners also enter Floyd Casey Stadium with on a 0-4 spread record slide in their most recent battles on artificial turf.

Look for Oklahoma to be handed another losing ticket here, with Baylor looking to pile on some late style points for the rankings and revenge.
