We’re going to examine Saturday’s huge game between nationally ranked undefeated teams TCU and Oklahoma State. Go inside for our in depth perspective on this contest. This article concludes with a college football pick.

Huge Big 12 Showdown in Stillwater
The #12 Oklahoma State Cowboys (8-0) host the #5 TCU Horned Frogs (8-0) on Saturday. The opening kickoff at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma is slated for 3:30 PM ET. Current (11/4) college football odds at SportsBetting has TCU as a 5.5-point favorite, and the posted total is 76.5. TCU routed Oklahoma State last season by a score of 42-9. The Cowboys were ranked #15 at that time, and that defeat sent them on the way to a five game losing streak.

Dynamic Offenses
TCU ranks second nationally in scoring offense (48.9 PPG) and total yards (616.3 YPG). The Horned Frogs ball security has also been outstanding. They’ve turned the ball over just 7 times in their first eight games. There’s no more dynamic quarterback in college football this year than Trevone Boykin of TCU. Boykin has thrown for 2927 yards, and completed 66.7% of his attempts for 28 touchdowns versus just 5 interceptions. Boykin has also run for another 524 yards and 6 touchdowns as well. His favorite target has been wide receiver Josh Doctson who’s having a magnificent season. Doctson has 71 receptions for 1250 yards (17.6 YPC) and 14 touchdowns.

The numbers for the Oklahoma State offense aren’t quite as gaudy compared to TCU, but they’re still extremely impressive nonetheless. The Cowboys are averaging 44.0 points and 502.2 yards per game. In last Saturday’s 70-53 win over Texas Tech, they overcame a 24-0 early deficit, and finally forged ahead early in the 4th quarter of that contest before pulling away. That second half come from behind win in Lubbock marked the fifth time in eight games they accomplished the feat this season..

Final Thoughts and Picks
Both offenses will have their way for a majority of Saturday’s game. The question then becomes, which defense will outshine the other in the game’s most critical moments. Oklahoma State has shown an uncanny ability this season to make second half defensive adjustments, and that’s been a key factor in their comeback wins. The TCU defense has allowed 37 points or more three times this season, and allowed 461 yards or more in each of those contests. Give me the home underdog for one of my college football picks this week.
