Our college football handicapper breaks down Wednesday’s game between Ohio & Bowling Green. Read this revealing article concluded with his college football pick.

MAC Teams share National Television Limelight on Wednesday
Bowling Green will entertain Ohio on Wednesday in a nationally televised contest. The opening kickoff at Doyt Perry Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio is slated for 8:00 PM ET. Current (11/2) college football odds at Bookmaker has Bowling Green as a 20.5 point favorite, and a posted total of 65.5. Bowling Green has won the previous three meetings between these schools, including last year’s 31-13 road victory. These teams have also seen each of the previous four games in this head to head series go under the total.

Gone South in a Hurry for Bobcats
Ohio began the year 4-1, and they were able to hand Marshall (7-1) their only loss of the season to this point. Unfortunately, things have taken an abrupt turn for the worst in their last two games. The Bobcats suffered defeats to Western Michigan on their home field, and also in their previous game at Buffalo. They were outscored in those two losses by a cumulative margin of 90-31.

Falcons flying Under the Radar
While the MAC West sports four teams that are a combined 15-2 in conference play, Bowling Green gets overlooked playing in what’s perceived to be the far weaker of the two divisions. BGU holds a comfortable 2.0 game lead over Ohio, Buffalo, and Kent State. None of those three teams are considered a threat to spoil their march straight to the MAC title Game. As a matter of fact, the Falcons already have beaten Buffalo and Kent State. With a win over Ohio on Wednesday, they would clinch their division despite still having three more games left to play. Their only two losses this year came at Tennessee in the season opener, and also 44-41 to #15 Memphis. They enter Wednesday’s game riding a five game winning streak, and their average margin of victory in those contests was 26.8 points.

Final Analysis
Bowling Green is averaging 43.9 points and 595.2 yards per game. Ohio has allowed an average of 45.0 points and 475.0 yards per contest during its previous two outings. This one has blowout written all over it, and that’s exactly what one of my college football picks this week will indicate.
