The Fresno State Bulldogs have the third-longest regular-season win streak in the country, as they prepare to host the Nevada Wolfpack Saturday.

Let’s take a closer look at the college football odds page for this Mountain West Conference matchup at Bulldog Stadium, with the opening kickoff scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

Disappointing debut

Nevada is 3-5 SUATS under first-year head coach Brian Polian, as the team looks to snap a three-game losing streak, which includes a 27-22 setback to the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels as 6.5-point home favorites last Saturday.

The Wolfpack’s three wins have come against the Air Force, Hawaii and UC Davis—not exactly Murderer’s Row in terms of the college football landscape.

Streaking

Fresno State has won 12 regular-season games in a row, including a 35-28 overtime victory over the San Diego State Aztecs as 6.5-point road favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total for a second consecutive week.

The Bulldogs are 16th in the current BCS standings and are 7-0 for the first time since 1991.

Fajardo gives them a chance

The Wolfpack certainly have a chance of covering the number as a road underdog in this affair, as quarterback Cody Fajardo has been picked off just once this season.

Fajardo ranks seventh in the country among active players with a 67.7 completion percentage, while he’s one of two that have passed for at least 5,000 yards and rush for at least 2,000 yards.

High-octane offense

There’s no question that Fresno State will move the football in this matchup, considering it ranks seventh in the country in averaging 44.3 points and 524.6 yards per game.

Senior quarterback Derek Carr is the key player to watch offensively, as he’s thrown for 25 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Bulldogs for their college football picks, as the Wolfpack are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing 450 or more yards in their previous contest.
