Saturday’s card takes us to the Mountain West Conference, where another shocker looks to collect at high odds.

Check out our College Football Week 7 Betting Odds Report for a brief look at this week's games.

The Auburn Tigers held on for a 30-22 upset over the Mississippi Rebels in last week’s college football betting, cashing for my followers with the plus 125 money line.

Aggies fall to BYU

Utah State logged a 31-14 defeat as a six-point home favorite in last week’s matchup with the BYU Cougars. The Aggies gave up an early “pick six,” with quarterback Chuckie Keeton suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Keeton’s backup Craig Harrison threw for 185 yards, connecting a late touchdown strike to wide out Ronald Butler. Aggies running back Joey DeMartino dashed for 80 yards on 16 carries, while he and his mates converted third downs at a 10-for-23 clip.

Utah State’s Quinton Byrd grabbed his side’s sole interception, with the team’s defense allowing 160 rushing yards (3.2 YPR). Aggies punter Jaron Bentrude had a lengthy night with 10 appearances (43.1 YPP), while his mates were flagged with a sparse three penalties (28 yards).

Broncos, Southwick surge at home

Boise State last saw action in a 60-7 triumph on September 28th, topping the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles as a 29-point home favorite. Broncos quarterback Joe Southwick connected 19-of-23 passes, tossing three touchdowns as part of 268 yards through the air.

Boise State’s rushing duo of Jay Ajayi and Jack Fields united for 129 yards on 26 carries, taking in a pair of scores. The Broncos moved the sticks for 30 first downs in their 31 minutes of possession, recording just one turnover.

Broncos defensive backs Bryan Douglas and Darian Thompson snagged one interception each, with Chris Petersen’s crew giving up a stingy 266 total yards. Boise State’s placekicker Dan Goodale hit 2-of-2 field goals, but notably missed a pair of extra points.

Back the Aggies for an upset

Boise State is listed as a seven-point road favorite in the college football betting odds, with early wagers on Utah State dropping the number a ‘hook’ to 6.5. The Aggies’ money line also dipped, moving south to plus 220 after an opener of 240.

I am adding the Utah State money line to Saturday’s card of college football picks, looking for an upset despite Keeton’s injury.

Utah State prevailed SU in its sole spot as a home dog last season, outlasting the Utah Utes in a 27-20 overtime triumph. The Aggies notched 164 rushing yards (4.7 YPR) in that matchup and will have to rely on their running game again here, with Keeton sidelined.

Boise State has failed to pick up a road win this year, dropping contests against the Fresno State Bulldogs and Washington Huskies. The Broncos gave up 39.5 PPG through those two affairs, while unable to balance that out with their two lowest scoring efforts of the season.

For your sports picks this week, look for the home-road disparity to kick in here again for Boise State, while the Aggies’ roster steps up to get an emotional win without Keeton’s presence.
