The clash between Toledo & Central Michigan is what I call a Midweek Snack in the MAC I. Join in for a college football odds analysis and free college football picks for you to make some money!

Toledo (-4) vs. C. Michigan 8:00 ET ESPN 2
Toledo travels to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, where the Rockets will meet the C. Michigan Chips to kick off Week 11 of the College Football season. Toledo has owned this MAC Western division rivalry, winning the last 5 years by scores of 42-28, 38-17, 50-35, 44-17 and 42-31. All of those easily get the money for us tonight in this battle of pretender vs. contender in MAC West play.

Central Michigan Chipppewas
Kudos to C. Michigan, a once perennial challenger for MAC supremacy!  In the previous 3 years, the Chips had fallen to a .500 team under former HC Enos (now OC Arkansas). All that has changed with the addition of HC Bonamego, the 1st year head coach, who has returned to his alma mater after extensive time as an NFL Special Teams guru. Fighting personal illness, Bonamego has used his condition to inspire the Chips. Their defensive improvement is notable at 22 PPG, putting them on the verge of Super D status. But, this is a 1 trick offensive pony, which runs only 95/2.9 overland. That won’t fly against an outstanding defensive Toledo, who also has a more balanced offense.

Toledo Rockets
The Rockets entered the season with no RS on their offensive line. It was the defense that carried them through the first part of the season.  During October, the OL gelled and the Rockets have soared. They are now a 200 CLUB offensive member with Alabama transfer, QB Ely, at the controls balanced by the overland thrusts of RB Hunt and Swanson. This is a team who perennially battles for division supremacy. The loss to N. Illinois last week (for the 6th straight year) puts their division hunt in danger. But a slip by the Huskies, who still have to play W. Michigan and are without starting QB Hare, can put the Rockets back in the driver’s seat should they win out.

Under 4th year HC Campbell, this Rocket team is in a familiar place. They are playing in November with plenty of motivation. I do not expect unbeaten letdown to negatively impact them with the realization that their divisional goal is still in sight. The fact that they have owned this team in recent years is a major plus from a confidence standpoint. On the field, their more balanced offense gives them a huge edge over the Chips, who are a 1 trick offensive pony. At a price that is less than where it would have been Week 1, I invite you to join me in putting the college football odds in our favor in making this college football pick on Toledo as our MIDWEEK SNACK IN THE MAC I.
