What a great day of football we've got on our hands. Let's review the college football odds and see where the best value lies.

Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Ole Miss Rebels
The Bulldogs bounced back last weekend after a rough loss to Alabama in what was one of the most entertaining games you'll see all season. They blocked a late field goal to beat Arkansas 51-50 on the road, a win that moved them to 8-3 overall and 4-3 in conference play; Mississippi State has now gone 5-1 over its last six games heading into Saturday.

For today, the Bulldogs will check in as underdogs on the college football odds board, as it's Ole Miss that's favored by a point and a half despite being the road team. Meanwhile, the total is at 65.5 points, suggesting we'll see quite a bit of offense in this SEC showdown.

The Rebels have been performing at a high level, and they're going to full of confidence after a great home win over LSU last week. Chad Kelly was mistake-free and accounted for four total touchdowns, pushing Ole Miss to their third win over their last four games.

Despite the Rebels' play against the Tigers, we like how the Bulldogs have been battling over the last couple of months, and Prescott has been a straight up stud lately. He's been the entire offense more and less, and we can expect the same in this matchup with Ole Miss.

This weekend we think Mississippi State may be worth a look as home underdogs. The Bulldogs will be eager to make it up to their fans after that bad defeat to the Crimson Tide at home, and we're on the lookout for a much better showing this time around. Ole Miss has been holding their own, but we don't see them pulling off this win; don't be surprised to see an "upset" in this spot, with Prescott leading the way.

College Football Picks: Mississippi State Bulldogs +105 (and +1.5 on the spread)

USC Trojans vs. UCLA Bruins
Another great conference showdown here, this time between the Trojans and Bruins. Current odds show USC favored by a field goal at home, with the O/U at 61.5 points.

Our breakdown starts with a look at the Trojans, who had their four-game winning streak snapped in a road loss to a resurgent Oregon team last week. USC was on a roll, piling up wins over Utah, Cal, Arizona and Colorado, but they couldn't keep pace with the Ducks in Eugene, losing 48-28. The Trojans are sitting at 7-4 overall, and the tandem of QB Cody Kessler (25:6 TD:INT ratio) and wideout JuJu Smith (1,217 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns) continues to produce week in and week out.

As for the Bruins, they were able to right the ship after a bad home loss to Washington State by beating Utah 17-9 on the road. They're now 5-3 in conference play and 8-3 overall, and they're in a dead even race with the Utes for the top spot in the Pac-12 South. Josh Rosen, Paul Perkins, Jordan Payton and Thomas Duarte have been the biggest contributors offensively for UCLA this season, and they'll look to get the better of the Trojans D this weekend.

What's the best play here? We were very impressed with the Bruins' road win against a good Utah team, and that hard-fought victory should prepare them for this very short trip to take on USC. We've seen this team do great things on the road this season, and that's a big reason why we think they could steal away another W. With our college football picks, we'll back Rosen and company to come in and get the job done to close out the regular season.
