The Aggies have been playing great football over the last month or so and as such have been listed as big-time favorites on the college football odds board for this road game at New Mexico.

Odds Overview
When we peruse over the college football betting lines for the tenth week of the season, we see Utah State is priced out as a huge favorite. The Aggies are favored by 14.5 points on the college football odds board at every sportsbook we checked.

If you're more interested in making a play on the total instead, you can find that number at 56 points.

New Mexico Lobos
The Lobos just can't seem to find any consistency to their performances, as they've alternated wins and losses over their last four games. They're 4-4 overall and are an even 2-2 in conference play as well, but last week they fell 31-21 on the road against San Jose State.

As usual, it was the running game that was carrying the load for New Mexico. Starting QB Austin Apodaca was just 8-of-20 for 130 yards and one interception, with no receiver gaining more than 44 yards. The Lobos' run game was firing on all cylinders again, however, racking up 32 carries for 205 yards and three touchdowns; Teriyon Gipson was the leading rusher, accumulating 99 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while both Jhurell Pressley and Diquon Woodhouse found the end zone too.

This season, the plan of attack for New Mexico has to essentially always run the ball. The Lobos are averaging a whopping 248.4 rushing yards per game, which is the 12th-best mark in the entire country, so it's a strategy that's clearly been working, although the medicore 4-4 overall record may suggest otherwise.

Utah State Aggies
After seeing their three-game win streak come to an end in a bad 48-41 loss to San Diego State, the Aggies were able to bounce right back in an equally dominant 58-27 win over Wyoming.

QB Kent Myers had no trouble at all slicing through the Cowboys defense, as he was a tidy 14-of-17 for 246 yards and three touchdowns. Wyatt Houston caught two scores, and both Jaren Colston-Green and Brandon Swindall reached pay dirt too. Don't forget about running back Devante Mays either, as he ran 22 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns himself. Overall, it was a great day at the office for Utah State, who moved to 5-3 overall and 4-1 in conference play with the blowout win.

Having won four of their last five games, the Aggies are clearly a confident bunch at the moment, and oddsmakers believe they'll be able to keep it going at New Mexico this weekend. As long as a solid Utah State defense can avoid getting gashed by the run, they should be able to control the tempo and thus the outcome of this matchup.

Betting Analysis
Despite that setback against San Diego State a couple weeks ago, the Aggies have been playing good football on both sides of the ball. They've won four of their last five, and we think they'll be able to keep the good times rolling with another big win, this time on the road versus an inconsistent New Mexico team.

While the Lobos are one of the more dominant rushing teams out there, we just don't foresee them having a ton of success against an Aggies team that's battle-tested and playing well at the moment.

So, while others may be scared off by the notion of taking on so much chalk, we look for Utah State to rise to the occasion and take care of business despite being on the road. We'll ride the Aggies with our college football picks and hope for another convincing win for them this Saturday.
